I understand but it is drinking gas faster than a drunk man can consume alcohol. I didn’t think it would affect the miles per gallon that bad. I’m getting may be 13 to 15 miles per gallon. Does that sound right for a power boost? It’s lifted with 35.? I’m almost to the point to where I want to remove the lift and get rid of the tires which are brand new and drop it back to stock.
I’m 3in leveled with 34s and am able to get 19.5-21 depending on the tank. I’m a 5.0 tho, weird. That seems really bad for a powerboost. I know drag, lift, tire weight, but it seems you could do better. What are your tire specs again?

My guess is that the tires are insanely heavy and you might have a slightly heavy foot!

Yes that is an insanely heavy tire and f load rated. You don’t need that load rating for an f150. You should get different rubber under that truck.

The nitto recon grapplers are a great tire and only 52.5 lbs. Yes they are slightly smaller but that will only help your mpgs.

When I bought the truck. The dealer installed those tires. The previous owner had lifted it and the dealer changed the tires. That tire you recommended. How big is it compared to the 35’s I have on it. It can’t be that much smaller

The tire your running is 34.52in tall and 12.5in wide, it weights 68.43lbs. The nitto recon grappler I recommend is 34.29in tall and 11.77in wide, but only weighs 52.47lbs. Would save almost 16lbs of rotational weight per corner. That would help you immensely, helping keep you out of the boost for better fuel economy.

It cost me about 3-5 MPG I'm estimating. Not super happy about that. My front end was riding a bit high, so I lowered it back about 3/4", and I'm swapping to a less aggressive tire (from Grabber AT/X to Pirelli All Terrain Plus) to get some economy and ride quality back.

I was recommended to get the Nitto Recom Grapplers A/T 295/70R18 116t which weigh 52 pounds compared to the 68 pound tires I have now.

My truck came with a 3 inch lift. Would lowering it an inch make a difference also if I add those lighter nitto tires?

Hard to say - in my case my truck was "nose high" so the aerodynamics were all messed up.

Stock tires, at least my Goodyear's, are 38 lb. You are almost spinning twice the tire on each corner. Add to it the increased frontal profile of the lift and bigger tires, I'm not surprised you lost a lot of fuel economy.

Tpms sensors need to be programmed? I’m pretty certain you would be able to sell the 35s you take off the truck, people always are wanting to buy 35s.

I’m sure I could sell them. The speedometer is off by 5 mph. I checked with my wife’s car with this app I downloaded and her car is right with the app. My truck is off by 5. So when I’m going 70. I’m actually going 75. Even when im
Going 30 mph. The rpm’s are at 1500. Is that pretty high for such a low speed
