Hi all, is it possible to set the front heated seats to default to off? It seems my F-150 sets the heated seats to the last setting.

this was a change from my '17 that I can't stand. In my '17 it always defaulted them to off an I really appreciated that. Not so much the cooled seats, but definitely the heated seats. Especially the passenger seat that I may not notice the wife left on.

Funny, my 18 always had the seats at the last setting they were on, heated or cooled. I was always turning the passenger seat off when my wife wasn't with me.

Yeah, that was the mid-gen refresh and they changed I think quite a few things. That is when they did Sync "3.5" and some other things (Besides the body style changes like the grill)

I thought the heated seats in my MY22 PB XLT 302A High defaulted to off. I'll have to try them today. I'll switch the heated seats on, cut the truck off and then cut it back on again.

I've only had my truck 24 hours, so I haven't noticed it yet. They default to the last setting? I love that! Now I think that I can turn them on as I shut the truck off for the night, and when I do a remote start in the morning, they'll turn back on and be warm/cool when I get in. That's great!

(It would be nice if that were an adjustable setting, though--it sounds like many don't like it.)

Adjustable settings for the heated seats? The heated seats in both my MY18 Fusion and my MY22 Power Boost have adjustable heat settings. High, Medium, and Low.

personally I don't like it because I don't drive often. I liked that if one day I got in my truck and it was cold, I could use the seats, but if in 3-4 days later I got in, I may not remember I had the seats on and it's a pretty warm day out. First world problem though. I get that :)

They were talking about the ability to either have it default to off, or default to last setting used (off, low, med, high)

I meant "adjustable" in the sense that you could adjust whether or not you wanted the system to remember your last settings and apply them at restart or not. Yes, the temperature controls are adjustable.

Ok. Misunderstood. I didn't realize the heated seats defaulted to the last setting before shutting down the truck.

It's interesting that the PB and I presume non PB trucks will default back to normal drive, rather than stay in the last drive selection such as Tow/Haul. Eco, or Sport.

In your case, I could foresee a more likely scenario being that you'd want to turn on the cooled seat feature a few minutes before you get into the vehicle, so that you don't burn your rear from the seats that have been baking in the sun for hours.

Mine doesn't, at least not in every case. When I turned it on last night, I saw that it asked if I wanted to remain in Eco mode, which was the last used setting.
