Any luck with this? I have a 23 XLT upgraded to projectors with HCM and intermittently get the "Check Headlamp System" message with the same codes. If I remove and replace negative battery cable it resets (maybe all I needed to do was open and close hood?) Wondering if anyone has a permanent solution yet.
Not yet, it is going back to Ford again on Wednesday for the 4th time now for this problem. They have already had the truck for almost 90 days now and it's still not fixed. They have replaced the HCM, one complete headlight assembly and have found a harness connector pin that they said was damaged and was repaired. I picked the truck up from the dealership on Friday and it was only 7 seconds after leaving their parking lot before the "Check Headlamp System" message popped up and I just laughed and continued driving to work. It also now has DTCs for the LED drivers which is new. Jesse says the software is incorrect in the HCM and said he will fix it for me but Ford wants the truck back to continue figuring out why this problem exists so I will leave their project alone for now. I will have Jesse change the software if Ford doesn't figure out it is wrong this trip.

How does truck get wrong software on HCM?

Is that a failed OTA issue?

I do see codes for motors sometimes on mine but they work fine so I ignore them.

Ford replaced the HCM and could not get FDRS to program it. They tried 3 different new HCMs and all failed to program so thats when the engineeering team got involved for the rest of this ongoing problem. Jesse looked up the problem at the time and said the Ford server did not have a software package assigned to my trucks VIN if I remember right and that's why it couldn't program it. I was told by the service rep that Ford then provided a software package to flash onto the HCM. Jesse said the current software is wrong which also makes me wonder if the software has always been wrong from the day the truck was delivered.

Your truck, but I'd take the Jesse cure over the "Ford Engineer" (yeah, sure he/they are engineers) in a heartbeat.
Especially before I parted with my keys.

You are indeed a patient man.

I don't doubt that Jesse will fix the problem with the software and I plan on having him do it but the truck has some other demon that can't be explained on top of the software issue. I doesn't make any sense why the headlights would go through their alignment routine when remote started and almost always aim the passenger side all the way down and the driver side at normal height. The craziest part of this issue is the fact that cold night temperatures under 60 are what seems to cause the problem to happen.

@Paul Neubauer
i notice when i remote start my truck even though the headlights are not on, they still move and "boot up".

Are yours doing that or do they do nothing at all?
Just curious

Yes, mine do the startup sequence when remote started if you watch them but when it is cold out in the morning the passenger side one never returns to the upper aimed position and instead stays all the way down at its lowest position.

Did you ever get this sorted? My 22' that's been upgraded has started having a similar issue now that temps are dropping a bit.

It seems to be fixed but my truck is back at the dealership with other problems so I haven't had much time to verify. They replaced things in the following order: HCM, drivers headlight assembly, repaired wiring in the cab, repaired wiring in the engine bay, replaced the headlight switch, replaced the BCM, replaced the entire wiring harness that they had multiple repairs on and finally replaced the passenger side headlight assembly. It appears that it was just a bad headlight assembly on the passenger side but Ford had them replace everything other that the headlight that was having the problem. It is now getting a new drivers side headlight assembly again because the one they replaced has a problem with the beam pattern being distorted.
