Hard fold Tonneau Cover Color Restoration?

I have Extang Solid Fold 2.0 and the color faded. I saw a post here a few weeks ago about this but I can't find it.
What's the best way to try and restore (and protect) its black color? I am in SC so lots of hot sun

You might be thinking of a thread from f150forum.com entitled "Best hard folding tonneau cover." Post 30 (link below) has a discussion of what a guy did to restore his, with pictures and pretty detailed description.

In the past car and trucks that I have had, I used a ceramic coating. I have found it pulls the black back from being grey and lasts for a while too. I used chemical guys ceramic coating. Easy on and easy off.
