HA! You sir have the correct outlook. Plan on 36 months and when it comes in after 7 or 8 you will be pleasantly surprised at how fast the process was. :)
Exactly. My ideal delivery is late spring early summer,as I’m giving my current commuter to my daughter for graduation. But I’ve got a back up plan if it takes longer.

Realistically, you should be closer to 12 weeks, depending on what you ordered. 12 weeks from order to Granger to delivery, but I tried to ensure no extras like spray in bed liner and I also went with loaded XLT instead of Lariat just to try and simplify what Ford had to build. I will miss the leather seats and B&O unleashed, heated steering wheel, etc. but I needed a truck sooner rather than later, so I decided to compromise on what I “wanted” versus what would be good enough.

good luck on your build…

also, hopefully, you make the Ford 3.9% financing, which expired today.
Thanks! I went with a Platinum this time after having a Lariat before. After pricing the Lariat out again with my options, it was only another $1,500 or so to step up in trim. And I was able to keep the Platinum PB sales price under $70k by going with Granger.

I think I made the 3.9% cutoff. I got the Ford confirmation email yesterday!

Hello,

Reading this thread is comforting as I contemplating ordering from Granger. The only part that concerns me now is doing all the registration paperwork here in Florida all by myself.

It is cake, or at least it should be. Florida is screwy but most normal states it is easy. You will get a "Transportation" title from Granger in about 7 to 10 days after pickup, that shows you transported it from Iowa and you just take that with you to DMV. They will process it all and then comes the hardest part. Cutting a check for whatever sales tax + fees you owe. :)

I absolutely love not having a sales tax. Would be completely okay with exchanging it with my income tax though.

Only a $75 tag cost that lasts two years. 5 on new vehicals I think

I'm jealous. KY is TERRIBLE for taxes and fees. Between my 2020 Explorer and my 22 F-150, I'll have to pay over $2k in vehicles taxes for 1 year registration.

Virginia is a flat 4.15% on the sale price and no discount for trade ins. I paid $2480 in tax. :(

They build tax into the loan amount and cut you a check before you leave the dealership, correct?

Actually that is something you do. That is if you plan to put anything down.

For example, let's say your states tax will be $2000 and you plan on putting down $10,000 and finance the rest. Keep that $2000 in your pocket and only put down $8000. That will let you build in that $2000 tax into your finance.

I doubt they cut checks but I could be wrong. You will have to ask.

Dang that is a killer. Our regular tax rate is 5.5 but since they do not let you deduct a trade in, they throw you a bone and cut it to 4.15%.

I'm not looking forward to the 6% tax when I register mine in Michigan (someday).

Went out to the dinner with the wife last night and started making my official case for ordering one soon (very nervous about the '24 facelift, interior refresh, new price and a vertical tablet infotainment - gross).

It costs 5k per year in taxes? Is that a one time thing or is so that your annual usage tax?

Ah ok I think I paid about 3k in taxes at the time of sale but my yearly registration is gonna cost me 1100-1200 just for my truck
OUCH. Kentuky really socks it to a vehicle owner.

I think our cost has increased to about 75 to 150 every two years. regardless of car value.
