Dealer didn't fix it. Walked to truck to drive away and wrench light was on again. Paperwork states they peformed a reprogram PMI for the PCM and cleared the code. Code came back after 2-3 drives again like before. So now they have it again haha.

I can tell you that your dealership will probably not be able to fix this for you. You'll need Jesse to revert the PCM software to correct this. He reverted my PCM this morning and all is good now.

Thank you! Jesse

Will I need FDRS and a mongoose cable to fix this or is it something he can do remotely somehow?

You will need at minimum, a laptop, a licensed copy of Forscan, the recommended Forscan ford cable, and team viewer on you laptop. If you have a mongoose and FDRS as well that would be helpful to him.

Dont have FDRS or the mongoose but I can get access to the forscan and forscan cable with laptop. Will it still be fixable?

Yes. As long as you have forscan

If you get it back and the wrench returns we can fix it pretty easy with forscan.

If they fix it with what they did then good for them but all they did was run a config in FDRS on the PCM.

We will see once you get it back but if the light comes back dont even take it back to the dealer.

Might be less of a waste of time if I just go grab it back from the dealer and do all this with you later.

Anytime you clear this DTC it will stay clear until the second ignition cycle of the truck. In other words it will be clear when you pick it up. But once you park it, lock it and walk away on the next start the wrench will return, every time.

Just let me know.

To add teh Forscan Cable has to be the OBDLink EX OR the Vlinker.

Those are the only two I AM comfortable doing it with.. OR of course the mongoose.

Going to borrow a friend's cable tonight but I'm not sure which model it is. I have a obdlink ex on order to arrive Thursday already if it's not the right one.

I got that update earlier this week and now the truck is giving me the wonderful orange wrench of maintenance codes that state software incompatible with park assist. My truck doesn't even have active park assist so this is fun. My code reader doesn't even see the code but the reader at the shop where I got my new tires put on yesterday was able to see them.
I have the same. Truck is scheduled to go to the dealership at 830 am tomorrow.

We have to roll it back to fix it. Seems to be an issue with the 36 Gallon trucks so far. Is yours a 36 gallon?
