Yes and also I know the dealerships use an impact. I changed dealerships after I had to break off the locks. I think if I was the only one messing with the lugs they would have lasted a lot longer. These Ford performance are advertised as extremely durable and can be taken on and off several times without scratching.

Do you know if these are the same two piece that comes on the truck factory only in black? The 2 piece that like to freeze up and not come off. Or are the Ford Performance lug nuts a different nut (1 piece) in black? I can't tell in the pictures.

Are "swollen lug nuts" still a issue on the current generation of f150? My 19 had that problem so I replaced the entire set

It's a problem across every brand not just a Ford thing. Only owners like us think two piece lugs are dumb. Manufacturers seem to love the excuse to sell more lug nuts.

If it bothers you then touch up the scratches with black fingernail polish which is a lacquer paint and the small brush included makes this easy to apply. I have used the clear fingernail polish for years to touch up scrapes and avoid rust.

I wanted to get back to the group on my results. So I switched out to the Ford Performance lugs. Exact size as the OEM chrome lugs which the Gorilla lugs were not. I used the nylon sleeve sockets ordered from Amazon listed earlier in this thread. I hand tightened each lug. The result - no marring or chipping on any of the lugs ?
