I live 1 hour south of Atlanta. There are hundreds of F series trucks sitting on Atlanta area Ford dealer lots.

The Ford website has the window sticker for nearly every truck.

If I am looking for 1600# +, or 1700# +, or 1800# + CCC, I have to open the door of every truck on the lot to check the sticker.

Instead of going to multiple dealerships and wasting my time and their time, how about putting the CCC information right on the window sticker.

Ford's "Best in class towing", is just a sales pitch with little to back it up.

I mean, it's pretty easy to get within 50lbs of the truck's CCC by looking at its options.

I'm going to wait a few minutes for my sphincter to unclench now after watching that. Holy hell.

It’s all about practice practice. You need to be that person at the boat ramp for a while that every one watches as you back up.

Be even easier if the CCC was on the window sticker.
Are you looking at 2024s? Somewhere around here there's a PDF that's got option weights. Of the 24s I've seen, they don't have many options on them unlike previous years. Lots of stuff became standardized.

Not really an argument, no MFG is going to do that with vehicles that dealers install options on. You make it sound like you're actively looking for a vehicle right now so desired future actions don't put you any closer to finding what you're looking for.

It is common to drive past a tow vehicle with the hitch not set correctly or where the vehicle has severe rear end sag that impacts handling and also put the headlights where they shine into oncoming driver's eyes.

A key aspect that is overlooked is how to best set the trailer brake controller for a given trailer load. One can take a trial and error approach but that is not the best approach.

Most drivers are clueless about towing concerns and how to minimize emergencies and control when slowing down quickly.

They will also, for a small additional fee, tell you how to identify the rattling rear max tow axle bolt and distinguish it from normal road noise.
