Anyone with any solution? I am 6'1 and I just cannot get comfortable. My xlt does not have adjustable pedals but I did sit in a lariat today and while the pedals were better they still werent very comfortable. Im trying to get out of my head about it but my ankle and hip will ache as well. Idk if it's the pedals, the seat, or what. I was extremely comfortable in my 18 f150 and with this one Im constantly adjusting and aching in my hip/leg. The pedals seem too far to the left. It's easier to get to the brake pedal with my left foot than my right... that's not okay. And like Ptpint said, small pedals as well. Frustrating.
On my xl I hated the brake pedal position. Turns out when I crawled up under there it had an adjustment nut that was pretty much adjusted all the way out. After I adjusted the pedal down a bit it was way more comfortable. If you take a look down there you should be able to see what I am talking about.

Interestsing, thank you.. I will for sure take a look tomorrow. If it isnt any inconvenience if you could send a picture I would appreciate it. Ive looked up there once now and there seems to be a lot of parts. And you're referring to a nut on the brake pedal stalk correct?

I'll try to grab a pic soon, but it's literally just a threaded shaft with a nut on it hooked to the back of the brake pedal arm. If you loosen that nut it allows you to spin the shaft and that will bring the pedal in and out. Then you tighten that nut back up to lock it at that level. It really made a world of difference when I got it adjusted to a more comfortable position.

Awesome man (or woman) thank you a lot. I'll be looking asap. Im waiting on a dealer to get back to me about if they can install power pedals since it was possible for the 15-20's to plug and play them. Maybe I wont have to. Thanks

Okay I found the nut and yes it was adjusted as high as possible and loosened it. But I tried every which way to adjust the pedal backward and it wont. How did you manage to move yours back? Mine doesnt want to slide along the shaft at all

If I remember correctly, the whole shaft can rotate after the nut is loosened, and since it is threaded, that is what allows the pedal to adjust. Rotate one way to move it forward and the other way to move it back. If you take a picture of yours I can see if it looks like what I remember from mine.

Ahhh so you spun the shaft itself?

Yeah that looks like what I remember, if you spin the silver part it will move the pedal. Then just tighten the nut back up to stop it from free spinning after you've found a spot you like it at. Just be aware it takes a little bit to get used to after you move it, but try it out for a bit before you decide to move it again.

Okay, I was avoiding spinning that in fear of unscrewing it from the rubber boot. I will try that tomorrow and report back for anyone else that stumbles upon here. Thanks a lot

I’m 6’5” also. I have the auto pedals and even all the way to the floor the pedals seem too close to me. Glad I’m not the only one struggling with finding a good driving position.

Glad this thread is gaining some traction, and also glad that its not just me or something in my head!

Not sure what exactly it is, if it's too high, too low, too far forward but it just doesn't feel right and I'm constantly trying to adjust my foot. My company has a 2018 XLT with the power adjustable pedals and the thought about pedal positioning in that never crosses my mind, they just feel normal. Something has definitely changed between generations.

Between this and the lack of headroom, it is unfortunately the most uncomfortable vehicle I've ever driven.

Looking forward to trying out the method above tomorrow to see if it helps at all.

Yeah idk what it is either. I agree, my 18 the pedals never even crossed my mind. It was just straight comfortable. This gen is definitely different. Sad thing is the only other thread ive been a part of I was met with a lot of "nope its comfortable its you". It cant just be me when you gotta rotate your whole leg to reach the brake alone. Maybe im wrong idk

Well for anyone that is interested or finds this later, the screw 100% works. When looking at it, it looks like there is only about 1/2-3/4 of an inch of adjustability on the threads. Well let me tell you, my brake pedal was probably close to 3 inches closer to the driver than my gas pedal and when I adjusted it I only had to go halfway down the threads. MUCH better. Is it 100% comfortable now? No but probably 80-90% better. Thank you Static, such a small piece of info has made this truck much more comfortable for me. And for those wondering, brake pedal travel and effectiveness is completely unchanged. This is simply just a set screw for position.

Happy to help, I know it made a big difference for me too

Is this solution only for non-adjustable pedals? My 23 for some reason has the gas pedal almost even with the brake pedal and it's way too close for me (6'6"). Trying to find ways to adjust the gas pedal down further away from me. What's odd is my 21 and 22 had the gas pedal further away so it makes me think there is an adjustment screw like you reference, but I just can't find it when looking under there. Appreciate any help.

Update - I found the adjustment for the brake pedal but can't find anything for the accelerator pedal. Brake pedal position is fine, its the accelerator pedal that is too close so my foot is uncomfortably bent when not using cruise. I'm really hoping the gas pedal can be adjusted too.
