FX4 front underside carpet like protective plate

Anyone knows if Ford issued some
kind of recall or TSB for the protective plate ( carpet like) under the front of the truck ?

Don't believe so but they all eventually fail. Just remove it.

Are you talking about the one right behind the engine? On my 23 FX4 the carpet skid plate that attaches there wasn't included from factory - just metal plates ahead of it.

The fiberboard shield or splash shield? I don’t have a FX4 but mine ripped a mount off and I was planning to replace with the raptor steel version. I asked my dealer about it and he said that ford covers replacement one time on the house. Oil change guys just threw a new one on there for me.

when that one rips off this winter then I’ll remove it or put the raptor version on.

I have an FX4. Which "plate" are you referring?

Ford using the same crappy cover for years for 3 generations of trucks. I threw mine in the trash the first winter with my 2011 when it filled up with snow.

Good tips for aftermarket plates or OEM Raptor metal plate will fit in same spot. Look for thread on that.
