What you using to see that? I see the apple maps icon in the bottom but still I have questions.

It’s the weather on the way app. It’s subscription but not too painful for realtime weather radar feeds and information overlay integrated with Apple Maps navigation.

What version of Sync do you have. I haven't seen the issue with Waze on my iPhone

SYNC 4 version 23159 revision 915
Update 4.2.4 is the last update I have.
Troubles seem to have started after this update.
The phone is a I phone XR model running ISO 17.0.3
