FORScan 2024 F150 XL Auto Start/Stop Disable didn't work

Is it possible the steering event trigger has been changed to something else by Ford? I wrote the change twice in between separate test drives. Cycled key off and back on to just before starting. Vehicle not running during change.

Same thing happened on the 24 Bronco. Auto Stop start is only disabled via an external module now. I also will note that the Bronco's steering doesn't lock up unlike my past Fords with auto stop/start.

Thank you. Good to know I'm not alone. Not sure what u mean on steering lock up though? Is that the angle inhibit part?

You can disable AS/S on FORScan but you’ll have to also disable BMS (battery monitoring system) as well which isn’t recommended. Honestly just get a AS/S eliminator by 4D Tech which disables through the glovebox method. Plug and play and a lot easier.

Save some headache and call 4D tech. Easy to install. Start/Stop still works. Disabling becomes the default position. If you have to have start stop, you can always turn it on each time you get in the truck. I somehow have managed to live with start/stop disabled as the default. There are other things I would like to do, but life is getting shorter.
