It's always been slow over cellular only (though it seems twice as slow since 5.0), but the deleted features sucks. Its price however should be worth more points. On bluetooth it's pretty much instant, but cell based features take nearly a minute to complete/acknowledge.

So what? Don't use it if you don't like it. 1st world problem solved.

These trucks are expensive. FordPass is part of the package.
To me, not using a feature because Ford can’t get its act together to make it usable is unacceptable. First world, second world, or any world.
“Oh hey, the heated seats I paid for don’t work, so I just won’t use ‘em. First world problem solved”.
So no, I for don’t accept your suggested “solution”.

I think what makes it worse is when these trucks first hit the market the app contained a lot of very useful features and unfortunately during the replatform most features were removed without very good communication which definitely contributed to the lower score compared to last year.

Essentially users have just seen features get removed since they bought their trucks which to me is unacceptable unless there is clear communication.

I didn't buy my truck because there is a phone app for it. I bought it to drive, to haul, and to tow. YMMV.

Curious: What features did your truck have when you bought it that it no longer has today? Three and a half years later, mine has every single feature now that it had when I bought it.

Good on ya.
I sure as heck didn’t buy my truck because of the app.
But silly me, I do expect things I paid for to work. But that’s just me.

It's an app. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it's not something I feel the need to go on the internet and whine about or threaten to never buy a Ford again over. Maybe that's just me, I dunno.

Ford watches the forums for feedback so it's prudent to complain on the internet (vs yelling at the deer from the porch). What they also do is completely ignore serious issues. Too bad NHTSA doesn't take complaints for bad app performance, it's the only way to get ford's ass moving on issues.

Their bot and troll accounts are useless.

Powerboost usage of generator output on the app was and would be extremely useful.

“Scheduled lock while at a home or specified location” is what I am interested in. I used to have an automation in Home Assistant that would lock and arm every night at 8:30 PM if my vehicle was at home and/or not running” but the HACS integration is currently bot able to log in. so, I’m hoping they add scheduled lock to the official FordPass app.
