Fordpass App ProPower & Zone Lighting Issues

I can no longer control my zone lighting or ProPower On Board with the app. It says Not Connected at the top. Tried with my phone connected to WiFi, then only on cellular. Also tried with truck on accessory power, and turned off. I know the truck has cellular connectivity because I am able to lock the doors using the FordPass app, just can’t use these two features. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Yeah - I'm one of them. I just noticed after reading the first post.

I've not been able to figure out how to get FordPass to connect over Bluetooth.

Anyone here succeed with that?

Same problem for me. Bluetooth isn’t working because AppLink appears to be disabled.

While FordPass has been pretty stable for me, on Android, with 2 different Powerboost trucks, the extended functionality of Bluetooth (direct) connection VS cellular (cloud) connection has been very spotty at best.

A bummer too because managing ProPower from inside the RV could be so amazing if Ford would just fix this and allow remote start to then become a Bluetooth connection and control ProPower. All while still in my jammies and slippers.

I’ve had my Powerboost with 7.2kw generator for 2 months and have had this exact issue for the last 2 weeks or so. All was well at first, suddenly I have “no connection” to Propower onboard, zone lighting, and trailer light check.

Everything else works just fine including remote start, lock/unlock, remote horn, car location on map, vehicle info such as tire pressure, mileage, fuel remaining etc.

So far, I’ve tried turning off WiFi, using just cellular, changing locations. I removed the truck from FordPass and registered once more. And finally, factory resetting synch 4.

None of that has worked. I thought it was an issue with my phone/app so I’ve hard restarted the phone and even deleted and reinstalled FordPass.

A couple of days ago, my truck updated to the latest firmware…..same issue persists.

Anyway, doesn’t look like I’m alone.

Hmmm. I just get the sit & spin now when I try zone lighting. Lock/unlock/remote start do work though.

Yep, iPhone. Looks like many other having the same issue and appears to be recent. That said, my truck hasn’t had a PowerUp update since September, so wondering if it’s a glitch in the recent app update (I’m on 4.25.0).

Hmm, I was never able to connect ProPower with my Android via Bluetooth. And I just sort of ignored it since I didn't have a trailer to need to power...yet.

anybody been able to resolve this issue? I am having the same issue. I would like to have my pro power onboard monitoring as will be going camping in a few weeks and want to monitor it. sad we won’t be able to control pro power from the app anymore.

Negative. I’ve got a phone number for Ford’s vehicle technology escalations team from a previous issue. I’ll give them a call tomorrow and see what I can stir up.

I spoke to a FordPass support rep today who informed me that the Pro Power Onboard feature is being removed from the FordPass app. She couldn't tell me why, just said that I'll be able to monitor power consumption from the Sync screen inside the vehicle. She it has already been removed from the Android app and will soon be removed from the iOS app. In regards to the Zone Lighting, she couldn't figure out why it isn't working and had to escalate the case. Someone is supposed to call me back within 2 days. In the meantime, she recommended that I update my iPhone software from iOS 16.3.1 to 16.4.

that is crazy they are going to discontinue even the monitoring. it would be nice to know what is going on with those options especially if you are running a cooler in the back with pro power and want to make sure the pro power doesn’t shut off. if they take away being able to use zone lighting also that will be ridiculous. we pay for these features then they take them away…not cool Ford. They should fix what is wrong since many of us bought the trucks because of this technology. so basically the ford pass app can’t do sh**. it’s just hey unlock or lock your car and maybe start it up. that to me is basically useless.
