I've been a customer since 2003 but some recent orders have had some weird outcomes:

1) Ordered parts for heated steering wheel restoration. One part was "on backorder no ETA" and removed from the order, though I had no issues ordering it from another dealer. The other parts arrived ok.

2) Ordered factory mudflaps - after a long delay, they shipped me two plastic wheel trims (!), completely different part numbers. After about 10 emails and several calls, they agreed to a refund and RMA, I just shipped them back today, but the process to get to a return label was protracted. I was pretty close to issuing a credit card chargeback - as this was really clearly their issue and they were in no hurry to make it right. I placed another order elsewhere and had no trouble getting them, for a reasonable shipping price.

3) Ordered rear fender liners and touch up paint. The touch up paint was removed from the order (again had no issues buying from another dealer). After they received payment for the fender liners and shipping, and 3 days later after they received them and they were in stock, two days later I was emailed and asked for an additional $34 shipping. After several emails back and forth, I refused, and cancelled the order.

4) Ordered tonneau cover, about 700 below MSRP. A great deal it would seem. They then contacted me to verify the order (and I guess that I was a real person). Four days later, they cancelled the order, with no explanation beyond "Your order has been voided because of the following reason(s): The ordered part(s) have been discontinued (no longer available) and/or is backordered with no ETA date by the manufacture."
No replies to my email. I was able to order the tonneau cover from a local dealer who get it within 3 days. Now their shipping price was excellent, which was another reason I placed the order. Still received no explanation of really why they cancelled the order, and clearly the item was available via Ford.

Tasca has been ok.

Levitton Ford has been fantastic - prompt shipping, great friendly communication, and decent shipping prices.

I won't be ordering from FordPartsGiant again.

Fairway Ford in Ohio is pretty good too.

Discount codes and ordering from Ford Parts website to local dealer can often be same price with no shipping charge, but not always.

Same. I had ordered the heated SCCM for $47. They said its backordered and cancel the order. Then it showed up available for $60 a few days later...

I ranted about this already on another thread, but I've totally given up on all the third party "dealer" part vendors. I just order straight from Ford parts anymore, yes its more expensive, but for me has always been free shipping and is in my hands in less than 48 hours typically if they have it in stock.

Change dealers between multiple in area. Pricing will change per dealer as some are over Ford suggested cost and some are under. Some parts departments will just give you a 10% discount if you ask them about a discount. Only one dealer in my area has lower price through Ford part website. Most are at Ford suggested price but couple add on for higher price.

Factor in shipping when buying from far away. Back 20 years ago Tasca was the one big online dealer through forums and eBay. Now there are dozens of them with all different shipping policies and pricing.

I've found that often buying local will be within few dollars of buying out of state after shipping.

Yep, but depends on the item -- I bought a bed mat direct from Ford on eBay for the free shipping. I've had really good luck with Levitton. But my tonneau I just got from a nearby dealer.

I finally did get my refund for the order with the wrong parts delivered.
