I just paid for 3 day subscription to download some manuals and wiring data.
I thought there was an option to actually 'download' the files but I don't see that. The only option is to print/save it as .pdf. The end result is the same, but download is much faster.
Am I missing a download option?

Thanks.

There is no download option with the subscription, print to PDF is your best option short of buying the complete fully-interactive CDROM from Helm.

Print/save to PDF are the only options. Kind of need to go thru the sections you want and pull the info. Wish Ford offered full PDF's of the manual. Audi does and I was able to download all of the shop manual for my car with a one day subscription.

Not sold by Ford but a PDF of the Ford Service Manual pages, 'filtered' for your VIN, can be purchased, see this post

At ~20,000 non-hyperlinked PDF pages, ^that's^ not nearly as convenient as the somewhat more expensive CDROM from Helm, which provides all of the hyperlinked interactive behavior of the subscription website, and includes the entire manual + wiring diagrams for a given year (not 'filtered' by VIN). Costs more but overall this is the better value because it's much more user-friendly, IMO.

I've got both, to my mind the sole advantage of the PDF version is that it will work on a non-windows device like a smartphone or tablet. I much prefer the CDROM, installed as a virtual disk on my laptop (so don't need a physical CDROM drive except to first install) and it runs blazing fast.

Here is how you would go about saving all 20,000 + pages of the Shop Manual. https://github.com/iamtheyammer/fetch-ford-service-manuals It helps to be computer savvy, but it works.
Thank you for the link to this process.
I can probably rate myself as computer savvy, yet by the time I'll figure this out my license will expire ?. I am just saving/printing .pdf of the items that are important to me and things that there is a chance I may be able to do if needed, or for general learning purposes. I am not wasting my time of workshop procedures that are way above my grade scale ?

Helm is confusing because there are two part numbers. I assume one is same but without Raptor in it. ?

So I guess this is basically what Factory-Manuals.com is doing for you.

The price has dropped to $70 for complete service and wiring manuals. My only real gripe (so far) is that the formatting with some of the images makes it so the instructions for a diagram are on the previous page, with a big blank spot in the middle. Tiny deal, but notable.

Nothing you can do about the formatting. But yeah that is what FM does.

I was able to install on my hard drive without creating a virtual disk, just had to modify the information in one config file.

EDIT:
Follow this this thread, post #34
