I got a 2000 cash offer in the mail today. Well, 2000 on a F150 or Super Duty, less on other models. The deals may get better after the first of the year when they really need to clear out old stock.

Why in the hell would I wanna sell a truck that’s one year old because of a $2000 cash deal?
The 25 and 26s have less features and are about 6000 more than what I paid in 24
And they think at $2000 cash deal is gonna entice me? Now you bumped that cash deal up to 10-12k…….. that might actually get my attention

Still, nothing to incite even considering a change from my beloved and no longer available SuperCab Lariat.

I love my Supercab but with only 16k miles, the rear doors rattle going over bad pavement and RR tracks. You can also hear the door gaskets squeaking over rough pavement. I guess there is a lot of flex in the cab without a center pillar. My 2018 had the same problem. Not something I can live with long-term so I might look at a Crewcab although the Supercab is the perfect configuration for me...

Buy some Krytox GPL 205 grease and apply it to the seals after cleaning all surfaces with some rubbing alcohol. I have a 21 SuperCab. No rattles in the doors and I’m on LT Load E tires.

In 2020 I got my first supercrew and was amazed at how much sturdier the body is with a B pillar in it. The supercrew was so much stiffer and quieter than any supercab I had ever owned. A fixed B pillar goes a long way towards making a sturdier cage to ride in.

That is true, but I had a 21 F150 Platinum PB SuperCrew before I bought this 21 F150 XLT Supercab. There isn't much difference in noise between the Platinum and XLT. It surprised me to be honest and I'm very OCD about noises, squeaks, and rattles unfortunately. I honestly don't notice much of a difference between either truck in terms of road manners, ride quality, or noise. Don't get me wrong, the SuperCrew and Platinum were nicer, but the SuperCab has been far better than I expected. Honestly, I had more rattles in my 21 Platinum than in this XLT. Go figure.

I'm pretty OCD about vibration, wind noise and rattles so stuff that doesn't bother other people is like a pebble in my shoe... What worries me is if it will get worse. Both my 18 and this 23 started the rattling doors at about 15-18k miles and I do wonder if it continues to get worse with age. I can live with a 5.5 ft bed but I really love the suicide doors and 6.5 bed since I don't really carry any passengers, just bikes and gear.

I owned SuperCab 2002, 2014, and 2024 XLT's and a SuperCab 2021 Lariat. I have never noticed squeaks or rattles in any of them. And I pay attention to that stuff

So what's the algorithm for getting one of these cash offers? I've purchase 3 new F 150s, the latest being a 2018. I'm pretty sure I'll be ordering a 2026.
