Ford OEM power running boards install a plug-n-play?

Ah shoot, my bad, I wasn't aware that even a 302A doesn't have a DSM. Is that the case @ReverendQ and there is no module what so ever under your drivers seat? If so, then yes this gets a whole lot more complicated and most likely not worth the OEM route.

@superfordman , I do not have a DSM. So, I am now focused on trying to retrofit my 302A BAP seats to add cooling (and a DSM) . I think I have an idea of what parts I need except for the harnesses, especially on the truck side of the seats. Any tips/thoughts are appreciated.

Also, I am not sure how to initialize a DSM as @HammaMan points out in #105. So may need some help there implementing his idea since I do not have access to another's truck.

Outside of @Jesse-Infotainment I am kind of feeling I am coming from the lowest trim to try.

Anyway, being a Geek, the ups and downs of a project like this/these, challenging myself to spend as little of my kids' college funds as possible , documenting it for all of humanity and the general tinkering is rewarding . Besides the F250 take-off PRB came in today, so I guess I am committed to digging deeper into the rabbit hole

I bought my DSM from Fordparts. I never plugged it into another truck or had it initialized with FDRS. I did load the as built data into it from my dads 501A lariat and it worked file. I turned on power running boards with Forscan later.

@HammaMan might have a DSM for me, but I might need those AsBuilts. If you don't mind PM them to me please. I kindof want to see what all is there ahead of time anyway.

i WISH MAN.. I ahve no idea whats going on. I approved all the samples months ago.

I have made them for Lariats that have the DSM already so all you have to do is pin them in AND REPLACE THE SEAT HARNESS.

I have made them for Super duty and F150 only difference being length and Kick switch

If youre really wanting one I can make one by hand if need be. Im not sure whats going on anymore.

I feel like Im not even apart of the company much anymore.

Do you happen to have the p/n for the seat harness, or are they the same as the ones on the MCS Thread? Also, any chance I can talk you into making me a harness for the PRB?

One day.. whenever the company im at decides to get the harnesses here.. we will have a harness jsut for the trims that do not have the DSM I made a harness for it I dont know why we havent gotten the samples at least yet..

I can.. I have no idea where our harnesses are.. I made samples for the F150 anf F250 to add the DSM all plug and play.. Ive had it in my F250 for months now works great.

I did the same for the F150.. with the kick switch.

I can make one I did it a few times. I kept thinking our harness would be here

Yes.> its a big job. Its not easy.

You need new harness for the seat. Then you need to run the wirng from the seat module to the Running boards. you need a new DSM You need ot have the DSM programmed.

I added them Ive done it.

Pus you have to make all the as build changes.

I have just purchased a set of new take off from a 2023 F250 to install on my 2023 F150 Tremor. Can you direct me towards what specific parts will be needed to complete the install? From my review, I would need a wiring harness and a DSM. Where do I purchase a DSM and wiring harness? Thanks

I have made the harness for people so far.

The DSM has to be flashed and you cant do it. So most the time I send those also flashed and ready to go

You can do the calibration in Forscan now.

I do not think electric deplorable running boards are an available option on the Tremor and concerned there will be a plug in the harness. I will send my VIN to you when I can. I also will send Paypal as I value the advice.

Are you able to provide the parts needed for me to provide to the shop. I have a very capable shop for the install here in Huntington Beach. I just want to provide them with all parts necessary for the install.
