I keep reading this forum describing all of the issues Ford has with software updates screwing up other functions, the need for frequent reprogramming, incompability, glitches, etc and it occured to be that it is similar to what I experienced with the Windows 95 operating system. That plus all the recalls for bad parts and "waiting for updates and parts" to fix problems makes me question the roadworthiness and lifespan of my truck.
So far, I had the recall for the wiring and exhaust heat problem, the wiper motor replacement, headlight switch replacement, battery replacement, and I am still waiting for the geniuses to come up with a plan to address the rear axle bolt issue. That in addition to the inavailability of Sirius XR Radio, NAV package, and extendable tow mirrors on a truck with "Max-Tow-Package" has me doubting the dependability of their product.
Is Ford truly building a product that they cannot maintain and that is as glitchy as Windows 95 was?
