It's not the normal profit model that I object to, it’s the odds of me coming out ahead financially by buying an ESP. I thought I made that clear. Maybe I should have made this my first sentence instead of the second:Every single thing you buy in life is making some one else money. Do we stop buying?
If you buy a Ford Authentic ESP you will never ever have a fight about a warranty repair determined necessary by a dealer.
People buy Ford ESP warranties (IMO) for peace of mind, not to get ahead. JMO
“One is more likely to come out ahead by skipping the policy than saving money after paying for one.”
But I get it, not everyone’s situation is the same. I concede ESP’s may make sense for some. And so does getting the best deal on one.
You must have missed the recent “Ford says the seal is not a covered item” (and therefore the entire repair) thread. Or the many others where the policy holder was advised by the group to fight a denial / go to multiple dealers / get a lawyer. What about all the “that’s just the way they shift” or “the battery tests normal” threads? No thanks.
