I've ordered the Kevlar arm sleeves as per your suggestion and am going to check the level after this next cold front moves through.
I plan to do it per the manual.

Regarding, the second point, turbo's do NOT make any heat on the exhaust manifold. They will heat the intake air through compression though , hence the need for the intercooler.

I realize that to properly (according to the FSM) change the transmission fluid, its done hot and level checked with the engine running.
My thing is, that I don't want to get burned by the exhaust system adjacent to the transmission dipstick/fill plug.

But what really annoys me is that after every update, I have to reset my customized gauge cluster and my seatbelt warning override that silences the ding ding ding ding ding if I don't buckle up
