Has anyone put this on a 3.5 EcoBoost yet?

Finally put on the Flowmaster Outlaw direct fit muffler.

I am coming at this from a different perspective than others because I already had a muffler delete done but left the stock resonator in place.

Fitment was a little disappointing, tbh. There are two issues I ran into with this: The diameter of the pipe at slip joint into the stock resonator pipe is a bit too small on the Flowmaster. I assume it's to make it easier to slip into the stock pipe, but the band clamp on the resonator pipe (which is welded in place) can't clamp down enough to full seal this joint. I ordered two different band clamps to try here and may put a bead of copper RTV on there when I finally re-assemble with the extra clamp. I'm planning on dropping the resonator and coming at it from the front so I don't have to mess with the fitment again, because...

The outlet pipes are NOT at the same angle as the original setup. I had a real issue getting the passenger side tailpipe to center correctly in the bumper cutout. It's still not great. I had to shim out two of the factory hanger brackets. You can see the difference in the comparison to what I took off. (on a side note, it's ludicrous how large the stock muffler was, lol). I should not there is a substantial weight-savings with the Flowmaster, too.

All that aside, it sound FANTASTIC!!! So much better than the straight pipe. The tone is a more controlled but "mean" V8 sound (vs. just "loud" with the straight pipe) and the drone on the highway is gone. But step on it, and she rages. They did a great job designing the sound for this, and it's exactly what I was after all along. And the truck does seem more responsive. Not only does it sound better, but it also flows better than what i had on there.

I'll upload comparison clips later.

I had no problem with the Flowfx connections or adjusting the exhaust tips. Sucks you had that problem with the outlaw.

The outlet pipes just weren't bent the same way as stock. But the tailpipes are much better after more messing around today. Also gooped on the copper rtv at the resonator joint and put a different clamp on, so we'll see how that works out tomorrow after it fully cures.

Forgot to upload the sound clip to this thread.
