Job 1 vehicles can't use cameras at speed, Job 2 trucks can. The OTA update that brings Bluecruise (and several other things) to Job 1 trucks in 2022 should give us Job 1 truck folks the same option.
IM do you know for a fact that the OTA update for Bluecruise will also enable use of the cameras at speed or just fingers crossed and hoping?
No offense to you, I’ve just read so much speculation and don’t want to get my hopes up if it might not be enabled for us job 1 owners.

I don't know if anyone can predict that both changes will be packaged in a single update or multiple updates.

I keep on seeing posts with high MPG, somehow I am not getting it. Probably my lead foot, but we drove down to Florida for Thanksgiving, still managed 19mpg avg. We did go around 75 the whole way, so I am sure that contributes to it. Way better than my other truck, and the tank lasts much longer, just day dreaming about 25mpg I guess.

Bluecruise was amazing. Not trying to trigger folks that don't have it, I just did think I would like it as much as I do. We went about 250 miles on the 75 in Florida, only touching the wheel to change lanes. Loved it.

Did not have any tech issues for the whole trip. Have about 3200 miles now, biggest issue so far is a phantom whine from the Driver door footwell area during acceleration.

Short timeline here... we picked up Friday in PA and drove to MD. Then on Sat, drove to VA. Drove around VA Sat and Sun. Then drove to FL Monday. Averaged 20-21 the entire time, but doing 70-80mph mostly, except for little stints visiting family in MD and VA. First drive to the office was today averaging 40-50mph but also playing around with speeding up and then braking to kill and coast. Averaged 25 mpg. Huge difference, but it took some effort and using brakes. It's also warmer and flatter here too.

Yea, its all about driving style for sure. I was expecting in the 20s at least, but it is what it is. Better than my old truck, way more capable, so I will take the L on MPG.

Congrats on finally getting your truck!! I haven't been on the forum much, need to catch up on F150 happenings.

Don't know for certain, but it wouldn't make sense not to send it out at some point if Bluecruise also gets pushed. It's a lot easier to make a camera viewable at any speed than have a vehicle drive itself.

To those asking about the “double” CarPlay nav in the main screen, I have it too. It’s an option when a route is set. I’m making an educated guess that it’s those of us who have late builds that have this and I’ll guess along those lines you don’t have the CarPlay turn by turn in your gauge cluster yet. perhaps the same update?

Running AA here versus CP and I can see google maps in the gauge cluster and 3/4 left section of the 12" center stack screen while pandora is in the 1/4 right section. I can't get google maps on the right side. However, I can get pandora on both 3/4 left and 1/4 right sections. If using Ford nav, I can have it on either side or the entire full 12" screen. Wish that I could get google nav full screen via AA like that. But that's not a showstopper to me.

@OP - congrats on the new truck! Can't wait for mine to be built this coming week.

The one thing I am most impressed about - or worried?! ;) - is that you drove for almost 24 hours non-stop :D. Seriously, how do you do it? I love driving and have no problem driving 10-11 hours straight with the usual bathroom/food breaks. I find myself snack a lot on long drives. If my mouth is busy I will stay awake. I will pick up the truck from Granger and will have about 1100 miles to drive. I don't think I'll be able to do it in one day and there is no way in hell I am letting my wife drive it :ROFLMAO:....at least not on her maiden voyage.
Perhaps even not in her first 50K miles.

Thats's Biden country for you. Same is in Massachusetts. As I said, just spent a week in western PA and it's not like this at all. There were some douchebags in WV though.

I drive long distances like that too and to keep awake I keep a small cooler on the passenger seat with ice and a wet wash cloth inside a zip lock baggie. When I start feeling tired I was my face and around my neck with that cold wash cloth and that brings me back to 100 percent concentration

It also depends on what trip they are looking at (reporting) for instance my main trip shows 19.1 mpg but that includes about 700 miles into a 30/40 mph headwind and about 1300 of the 1400 on the odometer I was set at 77mph. now if I look at the last 70 miles (trip 1) avg speed about 72mph I'm at 22.9 mpg

Iv looked several times to see what my update is but it just tells me that I’m up to date.
You can find your Sync version by going to Settings > General > About Sync.

Please don't go out of your way for it, but if you're willing to share, I am curious to see the difference between yours and what us older builds are running. I've had auto updates scheduled from day one, but have only received two since I got the truck in February (the most recent being back in June).

So true. I travel PA>FL often, but it's always hard to benchmark mpg because once I'm into the Carolinas (which is typically around midnight) I end up really pushing it hard for that last leg.

With three trips made and 15k on the new truck, one thing I CAN say for sure is that my '18 did have slightly better mpg. Both trucks have / had identical engine and powertrain specs (2.2eb).

You are correct. On my 12/20 build Sync nav displays in the cluster, but no carplay apps do. I AM able to display carplay audio on the side screen alongside my nav app(s), but when I swipe to swap the windows it just changes the main window to the active audio app (leaving the right side unchanged with the track info and playback controls).

I also enabled the bed camera card via forscan, but it only shows a blank blue space (no video or image). I'm eager to know if/when these features will trickle down to the early builds, but certainly not holding my breath lol.

Yeah, VA drivers are horrible for that
Thank yourselves you don't live near the I-5 Puget Sound corridor here in Western Washington. Mad Max reruns every day. LOL
