@OP - congrats on the new truck! Can't wait for mine to be built this coming week.

The one thing I am most impressed about - or worried?! ;) - is that you drove for almost 24 hours non-stop :D. Seriously, how do you do it? I love driving and have no problem driving 10-11 hours straight with the usual bathroom/food breaks. I find myself snack a lot on long drives. If my mouth is busy I will stay awake. I will pick up the truck from Granger and will have about 1100 miles to drive. I don't think I'll be able to do it in one day and there is no way in hell I am letting my wife drive it :ROFLMAO:....at least not on her maiden voyage.
Perhaps even not in her first 50K miles.

Thats's Biden country for you. Same is in Massachusetts. As I said, just spent a week in western PA and it's not like this at all. There were some douchebags in WV though.
My Dad flew in with me to help drive back. I did around 16 hours of the trip and he did the rest.

I have an order in with Chapman and plan to drive back as well. How did you get to the dealer from the airport?

I used an Uber from the airport. Didn’t want to wait on them to set something up. I was on a bit of a time crunch lol.

I flew out on Friday morning to Chapman Ford in Horsham, PA from Fort Worth, Tx to pick up my new King Ranch 4x4. Got to the dealer at 3:40pm and left at 6pm completely satisfied with the pickup and buying experience. It would have been way faster but i had a laundry list of things I wanted to inspect before signing. Once I hit the road, I had a leisure 1,560 mile trip back home only stopping for gas and food etc. The trip took just under 24 hours total and these are my only complaints from the truck and drive.

1) The lane centering needs works. While activated, it likes to hug the right hand stripe. Not a terrible thing on a two lane road but presents issues on a multi lane road or highway.

2) Myview settings reset on me twice while on the drive. The second time, i couldn't add the screen back to myview so ill have to work on that later.

3) The rear speakers are not putting sound out on the factory settings. I had to move the fader to the rear floor on the screen to be able to hear them. Also, if you havent yet, change the output to surround instead of stereo. Much better sound quality.

4) PA and VA drivers are terrible. Left lane is for passing...

My MPG for the total trip was 18. I had only 15 miles of all electric and averaged probably 75-78mph. I had a pretty good head wind for around half of the trip as well. Im pretty sure I missed a thing or two but these are the few things that stood out to me.

Is your Dad ready to order a new truck for himself after experiencing your new one?....lol. Congrats on new truck! I love my Lariat loaded powerboost. I have 2,000 miles on it and here is a 3 hour trip mileage I got with all stock tires and suspension.

First off - CONGRATS!

1. Agreed 100%. I was willing at first to accept that I was just "cheating left", but after hearing so many similar comments I'm convinced the lane centering does have a right-side bias.

2. While the "MyView reset" is really the only persistent issue I've had since getting the truck in Feb, the fact that Ford refuses to address it is infuriating. I want to punch my dash every time I get in and see the initial setup screen taunting me.

4. Philly driver here. While I can't offer any defense for our white-knuckle highways, I still say Florida drivers are worse!

5. Glad to hear that you (and apparently many others) are having great experiences with Chapman. I live less than two miles away but still drove to John Kennedy in Phoenixville for my last two trucks. I've bought 5 vehicles from Chapman / C&C and can't say I've EVER been satisfied with their sales or service depts.

6. I have some SERIOUSLY MAJOR gripes with your photos!!!!!!!!

A. How the heck are you getting additional Apple maps info on your secondary screen?!?!?!?!?! Is this some type of Texas wizardry you have in play here, or were you running both Apple maps and the native Sync4 navigation simultaneously? Even if the latter, I've never seen anything other than a route "overview" in that side screen while carplay was active!

B) I have never been able to invoke ANY camera view above 10mph, and as a frequent visitor to this forum, I know I'm not alone! How on earth are you viewing the gate cam at 75mph?!?!?!?

For what it's worth, my truck is a '21 XLT Sport 4x4 SCrew, 302A High.

Again, congrats on the new truck and the safe trip home!

EDIT: I wonder if you'd be willing to share your Sync4 version? I'd be really curious to see if your new truck's apparent superpowers are a result of your trim level or if you're using an updated software version not yet available to previous builds (mine was Dec 2020 if I'm not mistaken).

Job 1 vehicles can't use cameras at speed, Job 2 trucks can. The OTA update that brings Bluecruise (and several other things) to Job 1 trucks in 2022 should give us Job 1 truck folks the same option.

Iv looked several times to see what my update is but it just tells me that I’m up to date. As far as the wizardry with CarPlay, your guess is as good as mine. I just flipped through the Orion’s on the little screen until I liked what was showing. Most of the time, I had the XM info on the small part.
