I was attempting to run some updates using FDRS this morning on a '24 F150 XLT and ran into an issue. I was able to run an APIM, TRM, and BCM update just fine, however after running the APIM update an IPC update populated. Following all the steps FDRS gave, the update failed and now the cluster is black and just beeps when the truck is on. Has anyone else had this issue before, or is aware of a way to reprogram/rewrite/reconfigure the module once an update has failed?

Thanks for the help!

*UPDATE*

Was able to fix my disconnecting battery for approximately 5 minutes. After which the cluster had reset and was on to the base configuration. Reconnected to FDRS and ran the "IPC Configuration" tool and now cluster is running and operating as normal. Re-ran update and it updated successfully.

Seems like we had the same issue as there. However, we just disconnected the battery and then we're able to reconfigure the IPC and complete the update process. Definitely agree and think there's some bug with that update.

Yes several of us with 24s have run into this problem. The battery disconnect fixed it and was able to complete the update on the second try

Those that did this update could you check and see if you can still change your speed compensated volume (off, low, medium, high) and if your volume goes past level 14.

I had the same issue as well on my 24. Like most everyone else. The battery disconnect cleared it up.

Huh? Interesting.

I had it tow back to the dealer last Friday to find out that the cluster went black. The same advisor disconnected the battery and the cluster magically came back on like nothing happens. He ran the vin under ford and looks like ipc was trying to self update but fail in between. The tech was able to complete the update and got me back on the road again.
