I switched to the same tire on 17 inch raptor rims and have lost pretty significant mileage I believe for no increase in diameter over the factory 20s. Lost about 3 to 4 miles per gallon so for some of the long trips I do thinking about doing something different. The tire is actually one of the lightest in that size for an AT but the rim is just as heavy as the factory 20 inch. The tire store said the offset was messing me up too as it sticks out some.
The adventures you post about with your truck played a significant role in my purchase decision of these tyres. I’ve known of Nokian for their elite snow tyres, but hadn’t heard or seen anyone running an AT until you. A big thanks for your contribution. I upsized quite a bit over stock so I expect to see some mpg drop. Not much of a change in width though. Also of note, I did update the tyre size using Forscan and the speedo is within 0.2mph, and I adjusted the AFE bias prior to the change to reflect actual hand calculated mpg based on fuel fills. My last fill with the new shoes was within a couple tenths of an mpg so it should still be accurate. I’ll post an update on my next fill. Might be a little bit because I work from home and most of my trips are chauffeuring my kids to and from their activities.

Thanks! I love how Nokian does a great job with making all of their tires as efficient as they can. The size I went with is actually about .2" under stock but admittedly I didn't fiddle with Forscan. What size did you go with?

I went with 285/75/18; per Nokian’s specs they’re 34.86”. So approximately 2.76” larger than stock diameter. The speedo was pretty far off (5+ mph) at highway speeds so the Forscan update was necessary. I’m loving them. I was a little concerned about going to a load range E tire and sacrificing ride comfort but these ride better than the stock Goodyears. I’m looking forward to see how they do in snow soon.

That's cool. Have any upclose pics of the front fender/tire? Looking forward to how your mileage ends up.
I still need to grab some up close pics of the tire/fender.

Data on my last tank came back at 16.7mpg hand calculated, running 93. It was 99% “city” driving, my longest trip was 26 miles, everything else was short like 7-12 miles doing pick ups and drop offs for my kids afterschool activities. It’s only about a 0.5-1.0mpg drop from the stock Goodyears under the same driving conditions.
