Hey all: 2025 Powerboost with the factory dual exhaust. The factory tips are recessed up under bumper much more than my liking. See pictures. I really want to get them adjusted so that the tip sticks out further in the cutout. I see where the black tips are bolted to the tailpipe, but it looks like a flared fitting and I don’t see any adjustment. Has anyone been able to adjust their tips further out? Do others have this same condition? I’m not afraid to start wrenching on it, just figured I would check with the masses first before I waste time trying to get an adjustment that isn’t possible.

Not much adjustment at all. I just put a direct fit flowmaster muffler on my BAP Lariat 5.0L and the tips moved further in like yours are. I don't like it. But after spending hours under the vehicle making adjustments, it is only marginally better.

There are two ways to try. Loosen the clamps where the tailpipes meet the muffler and try sliding them out a bit. Not much to gain there at all...maybe 1/2". Or loosen the clamp between the resonator and muffler and try sliding that out a bit. Not much to gain here either. If you try anything, soak the exhaust hangers in WD-40 so they slide in the rubber mounts.

If I remember correctly there is a 10mm nut, it will allow adjustments in/out, up/down and right/left. Mine was way off now it's perfect.

I don't know what nut you speak of. There are hangers on the bumper just next to the tips with two 10mm bolts but the adjustment on that is also limited.

loosen whatever hardware you see and adjust. work your way farther up stream as well. i was able to adjust mine a small amount but the limiting factor will be the alignment tab on the resonator pipe.

Even without the alignment tab (the Flowmaster doesn't have one) you still won't get it perfect. HOURS under there this past weekend, so it's all very fresh in my mind.

If the tip is anything like the side exit, grab it with a pair of gloves and twist back and forth while pulling.

Tips are welded on and are part of the hanger setup at the bumper

No adjustment at all ... I have a '25 Lariat and one pipe is out maybe 1/4" more than the other and I thought I could just loosen the exhaust tip and even them out ... nope, it is one unit and not possible to move unless you bend and weld ...

This is the tailpipe bracket people think you can get a lot of movement out of.

The circled 10mm bolts allow MAYBE 1/2" of side to side movement of the tailpipe, even less up and down. This does not allow for depth adjustment of the tailpipes.

Tony, you stated it better than my message - moving only one tip is not possible I think ...

hmm. i must've gotten lucky then. once i did the resonator delete and cut off the tab i was able to get them where I wanted them. I also had one that wasn't centered when i first bought the truck and was able to loosen the bolts at the exit and line it up better. had to hold it in place while tightening the bolts back. I didnt think it'd make a difference, i was thinking what you said in the other response with those 10mm's right there lol. but it worked somehow.

My issue is the Flowmaster isn't bent exactly like the factory pipes were. That slight variation is messing up my passenger side pipe. Probably the same applies to other people's setups from the factory.

This drove me nuts after I installed a Borla midpipe. The tips had zero in/out adjustment for me. I ended up loosening the pipes above the rear axle and using a dead blow hammer to move the passenger side further back about a half inch. I really hate being OCD.

I'm probably getting under mine again this weekend to mess with the passenger side pipe again. Much like you, I can't leave it the way it is.
