With the new F150 redesigns coming this year and the Tremor Hood design now being pretty much stock in pretty much all new 2024 models, Is there really still no one that carries a hood protector for the Tremor hood yet in mid 2024? What are these companies like AVS and Weathertech even doing? I've emailed both of them in the past both of which stated that they were looking to release one soon, and that was back in 2022. It's 2024 already and still nothing from these companies for this specific design hood. Am I just blind and not looking hard enough or is there absolutely no want for this type of hood protector used in the Tremor/Raptor Models and soon to be every new F150 on the market? Seriously frustrating to say the least.

You're not blind, amazingly still nothing yet. Sadly the Tremor style hood also has the largest front space to absorb rocks so we can only pray one is coming soon.

Probably too low volume for aftermarket companies to price it affordably and be profitable.

I'd guess, anyway.

I guess I could understand that, but considering all new 2024 and immediate future models have the tremor hood design. I would assume it'll be more immediate now

Ive been eyeing up the 2022+ lighting hood line, would this be an option? Anyone tried this or given it a good look? Aeroskin has one that looks promising

When I looked quick I got my hopes up but after looking at both, I do not think so. While the Lightning and Tremor Hood have the same straight line in the front, the F-150 Tremor hood has a large face surface area. This large face surface area is so that more rocks can hit the painted metal hood and chip it. :)

Then you say you want a bug/rock deflector to try to save you a little pain and the bug/rock manufactures say "No soup for you"!

I just went with a clear 3M bra on the front portion of the hood (8inches up). I couldn't wait any longer to search one out.

FYI, I reached out to Weathertech about this issue, and it does not look like they plan on making one for the Tremor hood. Here is the response I received earlier today:

Hello Jeff,
I do not see anything on the production schedule for that vehicle. I do not believe we will be making them.
Thank you

I also sent a note to Auto Ventshade (AVS) and ERG, but have not heard back yet.

Just got feedback from AVS. Looks like they plan on releasing a Tremor hood deflector by the end of Q2 - which would be the end on June if they operate on the CY basis. Here is the response they provided:

At least that is more promising than other responses. I hope it actually happens before I take a big rock to my hood. I do have PPF but that will only stop small things. Thanks for the update!

FYI, I received an email from EGR earlier today indicating they do not plan on offering a hood deflector for the Tremor hood.

So, of the three manufacturers I contacted (AVS, EGR, and Weathertech), it looks like only AVS plans to produce a hood deflector for the Tremor hood. Hopefully we will hear something soon...

That's so disappointing. I've actually seen some new 2024s on my dealership in person, and the hoods on most models, outside of the tremor, are indeed different. My understanding was that the new 2024 model designs would all have the tremor hood design, but they actually do not. They have the same concept as the tremor hood, but still lower profile then the tremor hood and most likely will still not work if purchasing a 2024 model hood deflector for the standard non tremor/raptor hoods.

I found a company named DesignerTrim that was willing to make a hood protector for the Tremor/BAP hood. I received the first one made and it fits very well. Its a three-piece protector that is attached with adhesive tape. They are able to make it in any color. I just went with gloss black. The protector may not provide as much coverage as the AVS or Weathertech do, but at least they were willing to take on the project. The cost is a bit higher at around $200, but it was cheaper than having the dents and chips fixed. Production and shipping only took a few days. Part number is #FOF121DE1. Make sure to specify that you have a Tremor in the notes.

That's awesome! About time- thanks for posting the pics! Not sure how I feel about the 3 piece set-up- but it's good to have the option now at least.

Are they offering it for retail?
