The APA, Multi Contour seats, and Max recline seats were all force deleted by Ford on our Platinum with 701A.
Ford supposedly made these deletions on all open unscheduled orders on May 9th.

My dealer has never contacted me our sent any forms to sign off on the deleted options.

Below is the Memo from Ford on the Forced Option deletions.

Per Ford dealer memo:

2022MY F-150 PRODUCT OFFERING CHANGES
  • F-150 Auto Start/Stop
  • Active Park Assist 2.0
  • Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion
  • Max Recline Seats
  • Carmelo Interior
  • Adaptive Steering
  • Raptor Interior (#801A)
ACTION REQUESTED
  • Please be advised of amendments to the 2022 F-150 product offering availability (Auto Start/Stop, Active Park Assist 2.0, Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion®, Max Recline Seats, Carmelo Interior, Adaptive Steering, and Raptor Interior (801A)).
  • Auto Start/Stop Removal, Active Park Assist 2.0 Removal, and Mutli-Contour Seats with Active Motion® Removal are now required on all new orders and unscheduled units and will include credits on the window sticker.
  • Optional Max Recline Seats, Carmelo Interior, and Adaptive Steering are no longer available to order and will need to be removed from new orders and unscheduled units.
  • Customers taking delivery of 22MY F-150 vehicles including Auto Start/Stop, Active Park Assist 2.0, Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion®, Max Recline Seats, Carmelo Interior, and/or Adaptive Steering must sign the attached Acknowledgement Form to acknowledge their understanding that the vehicle is not equipped with the feature(s) identified and they will not be charged for the feature(s). A copy of the signed Acknowledgment Form must be included in the deal jacket.
  • Due to the number of potentially impacted features on a particular vehicle, the Acknowledgement Form has been updated to include a check box for each feature that could be impacted. Dealers must check the appropriate box(es) on the Acknowledgement Form prior to asking for the customer’s signature. Failure to check the proper boxes could result in an erroneous assumption by customer that none of customer’s features are impacted.
  • Dealers should communicate with retail and fleet customers regarding changes required to their orders. Following this communication, dealers should add Option Code 52X (Auto Start/Stop Removal), 67X (Active Park Assist 2.0 Removal), and 91X (Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion®) where applicable on unscheduled retail and fleet orders by May 8th, 2022. Orders that are not updated by May 8th, 2022 will be amended by Ford on May 9th, 2022. Unscheduled stock orders will be amended by Ford on May 3rd, 2022.
  • Dealers should communicate with retail and fleet customers regarding changes required to their orders. Following this communication, dealers should remove Option Code 91S (Max Recline Seats), BB (Carmelo Interior), and 17A (Adaptive Steering) where applicable on unscheduled retail and fleet orders by May 8th, 2022. Orders that are not updated by May 8th, 2022 will be amended by Ford on May 9th, 2022. Unscheduled stock orders will be amended by Ford on May 3rd, 2022.
  • Please be advised of the amendment to impacted 22MY F-150 Raptor 801A vehicles to replace the standard Coined Aluminum Applique with a Light Oil Rubbed Film Applique.
SUMMARY

The window sticker will reflect a credit in the amount of $300 for “Multicontour Seat Removal”
  • Note: Mutli-Contour Seats with Active Motion® Removal is Late Availability on 601A and will require taking the steps below once available.
  • Dealers should communicate with retail and fleet customers regarding changes required to their orders. Following this communication, dealers should remove Option Code 17A (Adaptive Steering) from F-150 retail & fleet unscheduled orders (excluding Gov’t) by May 8th, 2022. Those orders that are not updated by May 8th, 2022 will be amended by Ford to remove the Adaptive Steering option (17A) on May 9th, 2022.

Raptor Interior Change (801A)
In addition, please be advised that due to these supplier shortages, Ford will be making in-cycle interior applique changes for the 22MY F-150 Raptor 801A. The appearance difference is the result of our need to execute an in-cycle supplier change to sustain F-150 Raptor 801A production so customers can receive their vehicles sooner. The effective date for this in-cycle change is May 6th, 2022. All units produced prior to this date will feature the current Coined Aluminum Applique. All units produced after this date will feature the Light Oil Rubbed Film Applique. Please note that the Light Oil Rubbed Film Applique is currently used on the 22MY F-150 Raptor 800A. The Carbon Fiber Applique is still optional on 801A and is not effected by this change. The impacted parts include the following:
  • Driver Side Door Panel Applique, Passenger Side Door Panel Applique, Driver Side Vent Bezel, Left Hand Cluster Bezel, Right Hand Cluster Bezel, Upper Glovebox Door, Passenger Side Vent Bezel
CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM
Customers purchasing an F-150 with Auto Start/Stop Removal, Active Park Assist 2.0 Removal, Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion® Removal, and/or without the Max Recline Seats, Carmelo Interior, and/or Adaptive Steering options must sign the attached customer acknowledgement form to acknowledge their understanding that the vehicle is not equipped with the feature(s) identified and they will not be charged for the feature(s).
Thank you for this information. I not received any notification from my dealer for my consent, and hopefully I will just wait it out as I would like all my options on my vehicle. Looks like I may be waiting until 2023…..maybe. I have some thinking to do (on the Multi contour seats and APA removal)
Thanks again

I would ask your dealer for a new order summary. It should show any changes since you ordered.
Unfortunately it is my understanding that unless Ford backtracks the deleted options are not available even if we wait.

Best of Luck

If you don’t have a VIN then your truck is unscheduled.
Sadly, I understand. I’ll be checking with my dealer tomorrow on all this.
Typically most people don’t have multi contour massaging seats in their truck/ vehicle nor have the availability for them to have parking assist so it’s not really a big deal( I guess). However when you’re paying $78-$80k for a vehicle that’s nicely equipped fully loaded you would want to enjoy all those Luxuries.

So all this said,
I wonder if I have the choice or option to say No, I’ll wait and let it get moved to 2023 in hopes that those will be available - Now that would be a “Big If????” and Big Gamble?

Thanks again.
Enjoy your day of Freedom?? By Remembering Those that gave their lives for It??

It is what it is, I just figured I might as well get what I want if I’m gonna wait a minute anyways. Thank you.
Suposidly if you have a vin u will get what u ordered. Usually a week after the vin u get a window sticker and that will be your truck. I have heard they can change it during production but I haven't heard of anyone having that happen. I’m not that long on the site so maybe someone else has the 911.

New to this thread - has anyone that ordered in February received their truck yet? Originally I was told I would take delivery in late May - obviously didn't happen, then I was told July, and today ford chat told me I am supposed to come off microchip hold in August now. What I find fun about this whole process is that no matter who you talk to, you'll get a different answer each time - kind of exciting that way

I ordered 2/1 with chip hold ETA of September 27th. You're ahead of me and you ordered after me. That's good for you! Hopefully these all come off hold sooner than later.

first time, long time. I ordered late Feb but haven't heard anything (noteworthy) since. Dealer we purchased from said to expect a 6 month wait so that is what we're expecting. I hope it happens sooner but I am not counting on it.

I agree, in the end, I know we’ll all get our trucks, I’m just super impatient haha

To your defense, I wouldn't say you are super impatient. You placed your order in February, and Ford is now telling you that you won't get your truck until sometime in August or after. You could have a house built in that amount of time. Anyone that doesn't have a lot of impatient would have canceled their order before now. I ordered in February and haven't received a VIN yet -- more patient than I realized and annoyed.

Yep, and the real problem is (and I am sure most people in this forum realize) that if you go to a dealer and try and purchase a truck off the lot, you are going to pay thousands more, and more than likely you won't get nearly the options you desired. I think that's what makes most people stay somewhat patient, is the fact that they are literally saving probably at least $10k
