How necessary is having the 7.2kw?65k miles on a '21 PB. Zero issues, love having the generator in the bed, and I average 24-26mpg (depending on how many full throttle runs ?) Also tows a 32' camper with ease.

How necessary is having the 7.2kw?
It depends. Some people run their travel trailers on it. Some use it when there is a power outage at their house. It wasn't a make or break deal for me, but I'm glad I have it. I'm sure it'll get used eventually. How necessary is having the 7.2kw?
That's exactly what I did too. I even pulled up the quote on my phone and said I don't mind giving you $50 more than the online quote. The finance guy immediately agreed and said I'd rather make a little profit than no profit. Smart guy. It was worth an extra $50 to have it dealt with right there and get rolled into my 1.9% loan allowing me to keep even more cash in a MM making 5.2%.When closing the deal on our truck, I went in knowing the best online price for the Premium warranty. The dealer skwaked and complained for a bit, then agreed to sell it to me for $50 more than the online price.
As always, it depends on what you want to do with the PB. For me, I would have kept my 2014 F150 w/ HDPP if I couldn't get the 7.2 Kw generator. I wanted the 7.2 Kw to power my travel trailer when boondocking. How necessary is having the 7.2kw?
Are you in Florida?Am I reading correctly? It says $6k+ for a 80000 mile 10 year premium care. Isn't that way too high?
NjAre you in Florida?
Hmm, I know there where no discounts in Florida - some odd law.
You can buy it after the fact. Only advantage to buying at time of sale is you can finance it with the vehicle.Do I have to buy the ford extended warranty at time of purchase or could it be after?
If you don’t get the 7.2 it helps my resale ?How necessary is having the 7.2kw?
The FX4 package is a little over hyped. You get skid plates, off road rock crawl mode and hill decent control. Oh and crappy shocks, can't forget the crappy shocks. First thing I replaced on my 2019. I went with the standard 4x4 on my 23 Powerboost. Ride quality is much better WITHOUT the FX4 package.Does anyone who has the off-road fx4 package confirm if it's good to have and does it compromise anything?I am looking at a vehicle in PA and they are adding the following fees along with the off-road package. Are these fees legit and will I need to pay these at Granger?
1. PA non tax fee ($432)
2. Supplemental title fee ($245)
Also if someone has insight if I buy a truck outside my state and I have a problem during warranty period, will the instate dealers accept it for repair or ask me to go out of state?
I am on the way to the dealership right now. I am getting the exact metallic blue color with 7.4kw, tow and haul package and bed utility package. The additions they have put on this are the fx4 and some bedliner spray which are adding another $1500. If the price is only reasonably different from Granger I may get this as I did a component by component breakdown and the base price is $58500 which is 4pct below invoice. And then to that I add all the fees. The only things I am concerned about are which ones of these fees are really needed and which ones I should ask them to waive. The FX4 package is a little over hyped. Standard 4x4 is perfect for all weather driving.
Based on your previous posts, I see this will be mainly a city truck. The Powerboost shines here.
Stop and go traffic, school pickup lines, etc., is where you get the best gas mileage. Truck will idle in electric mode most of the time saving you on engine wear and gas.
The hybrid components come with an 8 year/ 100k mile factory warranty. But I do recommend getting an extended Ford warranty for the rest. These things can get expensive to repair once the 3yr/36k factory warranty runs out.
Fees vary by state, but at the end of the day, your home state registration fees are all you really need to worry about as that is where you will be registering the vehicle.
As for buying out of state, most states will let you get a temp travel registration, so you're not hit with their registration fees.
Supplemental title fee for a 4x4 is just a cash grab. There's no legit reason for them.
