Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

So far, from monitoring everything I've seen relating, there's not even a hint of anyone anywhere knowing anything about the cause or a solution.
Hopefully that changes soon.

Pretty much what I've seen. A few have gotten theirs in while the problem was occurring, but to no avail. A few thought it was the amp, and were half tempted to upgrade the amp because they didn't think the system was loud enough, and maybe it would fix the problem. I worry it would just make the static louder if it ever happens again

Just joined and wanted to add myself to the list of those whom it has happened to. 22 Platinum PowerBoost. First time was a month ago, and now again this week. First time was loud pop, followed by the static as I just got into truck. Second time was with wife doing 60 and was scared to death, but no pop, just loud static. And it didn’t stop


for a while. I am hard of hearing already, but this truly hurts my ears. I did make sure my fuses were all in tight as well. In the engine compartment the majority were lose, inside, majority were set properly. Use Bluetooth and Apple. If anyone else has any updates or information please follow up. Just had this happen as well on my 22 Lariat. Loud crackling and popping noises with volume stuck at 0. Pretty bullshit if you ask me to spend 70k on a truck and have stupid inconveniences like this. Also, had similar issues with my 2016 Lariat with media not working at all randomly. To me, Ford needs to get their shit together with electrical issues like this if you except people to keep paying the high prices for their vehicles.

The Ford Rep opened a case for the issue. Apple Iphone connected in my truck but both times was listening to SiriusXM at low volume.

Question: was CarPlay wireless or wired?
This never happened to me when I was doing wired CarPlay

I also have a theory it could be for the noise canceling feature, as this happened a large sports car drove by me in the parking garage.

I had the same issue with my 2021 powerboost. Listening to Siriusxm them pop and extremely loud static. Took 5-10 seconds to get the infotainment to shutoff. Since that time period my passenger headrest speakers don’t work. Dealership has been swamped so I haven’t had time to have the headrest speaker changed out.

Same with me today.

Bro it’s fuckin bullshit if you ask me. I’m glad my kids weren’t in the car because they could have had hearing damage because of how loud it was. And the fact that there seems to be more and more people stating that it’s happening to them is unacceptable. Ford needs to be looking into this as fast as they can because it’s only a matter of time until the lawsuits start flowing.

I like how they ask you to send vin did the same to me and nothing happens
Then the dealer can’t get any remedy from ford until it does it while they have the vehicle which of course it doesn’t.
So my truck had been at the dealer for a week now searching for remedy
I’m not taking it back until resolved one way or another
