So I've had my truck for less than 3 days. Programmed my exterior keypad the day I got it and it worked fine, until today. Not only does my custom code not work, but the factory code doesn't work either. When I hit the 7/8 button it acts like it's locking it everytime. Ordinarily hitting the 7/8 & 9/0 button simultaneously locks it. Has anyone ran into this issue? Any suggestions on what I could do to get it to work?

Mine is still working with my custom entry # and still still locks as designed. I'm thinking a dealership trip is needed.
Did you try to save your code again?

I feel the “9/0” button may be stuck.

I made an appointment to see the dealer. I think the 9/0 button might be stuck too but don't really want to mess it up worse.

Another thread said that they aren't click type buttons, that they respond to soft tap/touch. Hopefully you didn't try to press it harder like it was a soft mechanical button.

My ‘21 Platinum’s keypad recently just stopped working. Doesn’t light upon touching, but will light up when I open the door.

I’m scratching my head at the cause.

Reviving an old thread, but my 21 f150 is doing the exact same thing yours did now. Did you ever get an answer from the dealership?

Just of note. If the buttons are capacitive touch, where they use an electrical signal and not a push button, you should try a capacitive touch pen (like the Samsung S Pen). They have generic ones that are dirt cheap. For whatever reason some people, or variations in the buttons, will have some issues triggering it. This may not be the issue but it is worth a shot before a dealer visit.

I have also seen people say that they needed to change to a "pattern" code instead of an actual code. If the code you would like to input has the same button pushed twice (one right after another) that that could create a problem to.

These are just stabs in the dark but may be worth a shot if you are having issues.

Mine started working a day or so later and hasn’t failed since. I suspect that some contaminent got in there and worked itself out. Haven’t had to do anything since.

Checking to see if anyone found a resolution?

Mine is doing the same - intermittently stops working except for locking with the 7/8 key. Seems to happen when it is raining or wet out.

BCM shows DTC B121B:01 Keypad: General Electric failure

Mine hasn’t acted up at all in 7 months, so I’m not sure what the issue is/was with mine.
