Engine rattle

Has anyone experienced this engine rattle? It only happens when motor is cold but does occur every morning. the noise is coming from the passenger side wheel well, when the truck warms up a bit the noise suddenly stops and the truck is running just fine with no check engine light or codes. truck has about 20k miles and the noise (rattle) started back when the truck had 10k miles on it.

I had a 23 lariat 5.0 rental for 3 months and it made this exact same noise in the am until it was up to operating temp. Couldn’t figure it out myself either but same symptom, once warm it would instantly stop and sound would go away. 40k miles in rental. No issues no check eng lights.
I was assuming it was part of the cylinder deactivation system as my 3.5 is silent at all times off boost.

My money is on the heat exchanger. Sounded like shaking a metal can with a few coins in it, or at least it will. Recalling them in Canada and supposedly recalling them in the US next year when there are enough parts. Had mine replaced and ford ate 600 of the $900 cost. The letter advising of the recall also advised, once the US recall starts, there will be a process in place to reimburse the owners who had to pay for the replacement. Really hope they get their crap together. I want to get a ‘25 PB but am getting pushback from the wife due to all the recalls and such. Merry Christmas!
