@Cobraman428 here's my settings in SYNC, the DRL's do stay illuminated on shutdown and exit, if the headlights were on at shutdown. They are illuminated during walk up as well with key fob present. I put a towel over the darkness sensor on the dash to test this for you.

Let me check that setting in a few minutes. If I put the light sw in AUTO they work while in gear. I usually have the light sw in OFF. If in the OFF position, once I start the truck the DRL go off. Maybe they change something in one of the updates I applied.

Light switch on my truck is in auto all the time. The switch should default to auto at start. At least mine will.

Mine actually reverts to auto every time I start the truck. Lol if I turn them off at shutdown, boom next time I fire it up there on auto again. Is it supposed to be that way?

It was set to ON. I'm curious if you set your lights switch to OFF does that keep your DRL off while driving or in gear? It is not a huge deal, but after doing my updates my DRL are not working the same the way as they did before the updates were applied.

Yes, your is in the default mode. I did the forscan change last year to prevent the lights coming on. I camp and didn't want the headlights coming and lighting up my neighbors. Last remembered position and in my case it was in the OFF position.

That's great information, I didn’t know that was possible to do in forscan, do you remember or can you share that setting?
Question, when you updated yesterday did you try the BCM update. I say this because it my understanding that on the older trucks like ours you are able to update the bcm until you get to the newest release in which we can't update to.

I didn’t try because I saw all the posts that required a password. I’m going to try it now.

@Cobraman428 Jerry, the reason for the "no DRLs" is because they're set to be working only when the headlamp switch is in the auto position, as you and @Big Dog Daddy have found. This is due to a setting in the BCM called DRLBYAUTOLAMPS. If you disable it, DRLs then work regardless of headlamp switch position.
