Yep sync and all updates current. BC appears to be active. Will road test latter today. It was rather smooth sailing except that one hiccup with IPC/USB failure. Thank you to all here for the insight, time and knowledge.

Just took my '21, job 1, Plat PB from stuck 1.7.1 update, through the TSB procedure, all the way to fully updated. Thanks to everyone who pioneered the way, making late adopters have a nearly seamless experience!

Only issue outstanding is a DTC (U2100) on the DSM. This popped up after running an update on it which failed (Procedure Unsuccessful - MainUpdateProcess | Failed to restore module configuration).
  • I have never made any FORScan changes, but I did use it to capture all as-built values before starting the updates
  • Ran a "Clean and Test", the DTC did not clear
  • Ran a PMI, selected that it was not the original module, the DTC did not clear, but the process completed successfully without error
I have yet to drive the truck after all these updates, wondering if that plus giving it time is the next right move. Thoughts?

Run a PMI, DSM adds new lines of as build. The issues is since those lines have never been written to and configured you have a 2100 DTC> No biggie... correctable through a PMI or Config. I prefer the PMI

Thanks for the help.

I did previously run a PMI on the DSM, and answered that it was not the original module. It completed successfully, but the DTC remained.

Are you suggesting I should run another PMI? If so, what's the correct answer to the "original module" question.

Always select No for original module when doing PMI

Thanks to you all, Got the FDRS software, Mongoose and spent shy of 7 hours updating. Went from 2.3.0 and two pages of needed updates…to BC.

Life is good for now.

If I do this on my own I would need the mongoose interface and a laptop. I was thinking since I don’t have a laptop can I just use a long extension cable to my pc?

I'm working on updating for bluecruise as of this morning although I seem to of hit a snag. I did IPMA or whatever the big one is along with most of the others but APIM seems to be giving me some difficulty.

I was able to write to the flash drive and update but I think I am stuck in the reboot loop problem. I gave the truck a good amount of time before turning it on but everytime I do turn it on it tells me to reboot to finish update.

I am currently giving it about an hour this time around to see if it helps, but is there anything else I should be doing?
