Maybe different environments and road conditions etc play a part. I usually use Normal or sport but anytime I have gotten my highest mpg trips was during eco. It seems to just come on quicker and stay on longer for me personally.
Very true. I have not had much time with the truck yet with only 200 miles on the clock so far. Once broken in I'll probably take some averages over a few tanks worth on normal and eco each to see what mode gets better mileage. I do think the ICE kicks in way too soon on what would be considered very light acceleration from a stop though. Even in eco it takes almost no throttle at all and it switches from electric to gas. I've driven other hybrids and it generally takes a lot more aggressive acceleration to get the ICE to fire up than in the PB. Does it engage so quickly in eco for you as it does on mine?

I've noticed that in ECO it tends to run the engine longer when stopped. I like the fact it doesn't accelerate as aggressively in ECO. But I have NEVER seen as good or better MPG in ECO over Normal. I drive only using the adaptive cruise. I accelerate up to 2000 RPM until I hit 12MPH, Then go to cruise. So its all pretty much the same. ECO is worse for me.

Ran in Normal from April this year to one month ago. Got 22.5 MPG. Ran Eco for the last month, got 25.6 MPG. No change in driving routes or habits.
