Hey everyone -

Just picked up a new F150 platinum and the interior is full of rattles. Two definitely come from the triangular piece on driver/passenger and I'll see if fixes around here resolve the rattle.

One strong rattle is coming from the silver trim piece on the door handle - It's clear (especially when it's hot outside) that the plastic is moving and when it does - it squeaks. Does anyone know how to remove this trim piece? Does the door panel need to be removed?

Thanks!

I have a very similar problem. Mine seems to originate from the Detroit map piece just above yours. Very annoying. I also believe I'm hearing it on the passenger side.

Did anyone find a solution to this? (I know, this is an old thread) I have the same issue on my 2 week old 2023 XLT. I push on the door or just the map piece and it stops. The noise is still noticeable when I play music, probably because it's right near my left ear.

Bump, having the same issues. Hope someone has removed this piece of trim and can share how to proceed.

I had the same issue on my 22 Lariat. I tried everything I could think of in the area circled in the photo above. Pulled the panel with on top of the armrest, put foam inside, folded up pieces of paper and stuffed in the cracks between panels, etc. with no luck. Someone else in another thread isolated it to the vertical panel that covers the side mirror attachment point and associated wiring. I popped that off and stuck the felt side of some velcro strips so they wouldn't stick out, but the panel would rest on them. That got rid of the sound.

I know this was a while ago but I was wondering if your rattle was like this one ?(https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/drivers-side-door-rattle.20649/#post-404107). The fix you mentioned is one thing I haven't tried - it doesn't sound like it is coming from that vertical trim piece but maybe it could be. Pressing on the plastic part of door handle seems to stop for me.. I think. Thanks

I don't have a rattle per se from this silver piece on the door unless I touch it/my leg pushes against it. There is clearly a space between it and the piece of door it is attached to on the top, I can see it and push it towards the door. Did anyone find how to remove this piece? it is getting on my OCD nerves and it cannot stand. This space must be either eliminated or filled with something for that piece to be able to move.

Thanks.
