I was finally able to break into the 4’s today for 0-60. Still had some stuff in the bed of the truck, but had just a bit lower than half a tank (I usually top off when it gets under 1/2 tank as I don’t drive it that often).

This run had a little too much slope to be deemed valid, but has been the best time I had recorded.

Not sure if it’s the weather, or better launches, or less weight from fuel, but put it into sport mode and mashed it after holding at just under 2k seemed to give the best results.

It hauls ass...and if you rode in it when I drive normally (which is 98% of the time,) it's as docile as can be. Drives and shift like stock. My woman doesn't even know it's modified...other than the wheels...and we will keep that secret between us. :D :D :ROFLMAO: :unsure:
It's overpowering the clutches up top especially the 4/5 shift so there was time lost there. It could have been quicker. I am planning to rebuild with stronger clutches. Keep in mind my truck is a 100% 502A packaged Lariat meaning no cutting, no weight removal has taken place etc that a lot of crew cabs do to run quick times. For this run, I only switched the wheels/tires. That's it! Even the spare is on the truck.

I can't imagine; I stomped down on my Livernois-tuned 3.5EB in the rain at 45mph and if it wasn't for that low level stability control that you can't turn off I probably would have totaled the truck. It gets bent out of shape so fast.

Have you done any suspension mods to help with control?

I got on it at around 50 today and saw the traction light come on, fully dry today. Didn't feel like it was pulling hard enough to spin the tires some but it must have. Not even tuned.

The quietness and smoothness of them hides the performance some. These trucks stock in crew cab are doing what the early 2000 lightnings did.

I still need to get off the line quicker, but December has been a very good month. I managed to set a new personal best running in 4H with Exxon 93oct and I'm still running the stock turbos, stock intake, stock air filter, stock cats, and stock charge pipes.

I'm starting to wonder how much extra time I can shave off by launching in 2H on a prepped surface with stickier tires. I'd really like to get a sub 4s 0-60mph, but it hasn't happened yet. On this run I was stalling up the stock converter to 3200RPM and it felt good, but I didn't see any improvement in the 60ft.
