Sounds like you need a new battery in the fob.

That's exactly the notification I got this morning too. Gotta be on Ford's server side?

Bought my truck in early Nov 23. One attempted OTA failed while sitting on the dealer lot well before I purchased it. Since then, zero, zip nada, none, OTAs have been scheduled, had to update manually with FDRS. Would think for an $82k+ truck that something, anything would get scheduled for an OTA update in the last three months when multiple 21, 22, and 23 trucks have gotten multiple OTA updates. SMH!

Guess I am bit disgruntled. Traded in a 2018 XLT 3.5EB Supercrew FX4 with Max Trailer Tow, that averaged 22.3 mpg, even doing 70-75 mph on the highway, for a 2023 Limited.

Now I average 18.1 mpg (-4.2 mpg), lost 2k towing capacity, had to buy a new battery after 3 months ownership, and electrical gremlins have made my truck their home. And the advertised OTA updates are nowhere to be found.

That would seem obvious but the truck is 6 months old. My chevy key fob battery would go years. in addition there is a phantom download after 6.8.

just seemed odd…..
I've already had to replace batteries in mine after dealer supposedly had new batteries last year. My old Gen 12 key lasted 4-5 years between battery changes. I'm not a fan of throwing money away on batteries but I guess that is a thing now.

You are not alone... my truck manufactured in March 2023, no scheduled OTA updates since. I guess I could go to the hassle of doing it myself... but not sure if the benefits really make it worthwhile.

Nothing released in 2023 is a new feature. It was all bug fixes and prep for future updates to prep for more future updates. You'll be missing the latest APIM (sync) software but that doesn't add anything either. Updates will come eventually OTA when Ford feels like it. ?‍♂

Not yet. The IPMA updates contains the BC 1.4 features, but they are not enabled from Ford yet. If you installe dthe new IPMA/PSCM updates, then you have the upgraded BC stability that comes with BC 1.4, just not the additional features.

In early 2022 my IPC was screwed up badly because FDRS had a problem and didn't install both files correctly. Jesse had to remote into my truck and correct the problem by installing the correct files. Since then, the IPC has taken every OTA without issue.
I would love to contact Jesse... can you elaborate or provide contact information please?

Thanks Big Dog Daddy ----
By the way.... I have found Over the Air (OTA) updates to be reliable about 90-95% of the time. I have, however, "hit a showstopper" so I will have to take it into the shop.

The issue is "Tested battery on charger OK @ 100%, Deleted my Ford F-150 profile on the App, Reset Connectivity (and Enabled Location and Data) and then enabled Wi-Fi again, Recreated my Ford App profile at Ford.com then, opening the Ford App on my phone, I Activated my Vehicle (Success). Next, I set the Software Update to run in 1.25 Hours (8:45 am). Manual update returns "Update not ready. There are no updates ready that require vehcile downtime" Checking in at 7:57a 2/23/24 the was a "down pointing arrow" and error "Not Completed" Priority Update 23-PU0110-RAD-PS."
