What Ive discovered is the harnesses are really the same. Only difference would be the 8 speaker or the 18 speaker. The power running boards dont matter.

Even if you get the 18 speaker with the 8 speaker youll be ok you will have a couple connectors not used.

The harnesses I listed for the 18 speaker and PRB will be the best bet in most everyones application
Got it so what you listed I believe is what I have below on my list (same as @JJSnell shared) and that should be good for my '22 Platinum with the 18 speaker B&O (and PRB)?

And without actually having everything yet and opening it up, are all these harnesses plugNplay? I know you had mentions of canbus and power much earlier in this thread but figured I'd ask while I had you for clarification. And I guess one last thing, with the Forscan changes, was there a quick link/reference to what is needed there? Thought I read the modules aren't currently in and need to be added, is that correct? I'm familiar and comfortable with Forscan, just haven't made any changes to my '22 yet and past experience I've only modified modules, never added new. Hopefully makes sense :) Definitely appreciate the help!

Its been awhile so I dont recall everything... but these are the wiring harnesses here:

As for the $324 price I guess that is what was paid (the car dealership actually paid for everything), I just needed to hunt it down.
So I guess your $333 price was not off-target. I was incorrect in stating it was a price gouge. Sorry about that.
All good I'm just thankful for the clarifications...trying to do my best to ensure I've got everything accounted for as well as getting most for my dollar.

Whether or not they’re plug and play depends on which wires you already have populated. Jesse turned his XL into a “platinum high”, so there’s likely a bit more work he had to do with respect to wiring.

I believe you already have a platinum? From what o understand, these harnesses are plug and play for platinum/limited. Though I haven’t done this myself yet (I literally have every single part sitting about 15 feet from me right now, just haven’t found/made the time yet)

@dolsen

Yes Mine is also a '22 Plat B&O 18. Everything I Jesse and I gave you will plug and play right into your current harnesses.

When you get to the point let me know and I will send you some photos of my process for the swap out, its really pretty easy.

Yes sir that's correct, Platinum is what I've got. And I do recall that Jesse upgraded a lower trim so certainly makes sense there may have been some extra work involved. Looks like depending on part timing, we might be diving into this adventure around the same time, so definitely will have to keep in touch and sounds like we can lean on @JJSnell as well!

Will certainly be pinging you once I've got everything and ready to knock this out. Photos would be great, the more resources the better!

I know I was still waiting on Jesse's reply, but assuming since you already did the install you covered the Forscan changes? Were those stored somewhere here that I could pull down? Or high level what was that effort? Like I mentioned, I'm familiar and worked with it on my 2016, just haven't made any changes for my '22 yet

There are two files you need to "import" and then make the changes. Jess has those listed somewhere in a thread, maybe this one?

It was ironic cuz I, daily, remote into servers and people computers and do work and he just offered to jump into my laptop and do the Forscan changes himself. Was nice to be on the 'sit and watch' end of the computer for once.
Whether he does it or you do it, its pretty simple... more than a standard Forscan as built change, but still pretty simple.

Oh that's super cool to know! I will definitely have to be in touch with both of you when that time comes! Thanks again for all the clarifications! Now on to spending some money! ;)

How’d you get the dealership to pay for the parts?

I wanted a AM Blue Platty with 6.5ft bed with no deletes, they had this truck, (sales manager was driving it) and they wanted to unload it.
Told them no MCS is a deal breaker, regardless of price. They said, "what if we get the parts and install for you?"
That was a good option but I'm 9hrs from dealership and not driving it back down there for an install.
They put in writing they will buy all parts in 6 months or reimburse me $3000.
So I found the parts and had them shipped to me and I did the install.

What kind of a man would be if I let another man spend money alone? Y'all have talked me into it and I'm going to try the same thing with the parts list and the pics that were provided in the thread.

Just wanted to say thanks to you, @JJSnell, and @Jesse-Infotainment for doing all of the hard parts.

I will say my experience with Forscan is limited (I fixed a navigation and sirius radio issue that was caused by a Ford update), but I have no lack of confidence and stupidity.

Ive remoted in for several of the installs to help people get it programmed. If its something you dont feel like you can do I can do it for you.
