Modifications only have value on the private market. The right buyer will have to come along.

You MAY get lucky if you trade your ford at a ford dealership where they may give value for OEM modifications (heated steering wheel etc)

Think of it this way. You slap a cool custom paint job on it and you get high looking at it. Now it's time to sell it and you learn potential buyers would consider it if it weren't for the color.

My buddy recently traded in his Honda ridgeline. He had a hard tonneau cover and a grill guard. The dealer let him take them off the truck and no change in trade in value. Dealers don’t care about mods just mileage and condition.
