Do I Actually Have Bluecruise?

I ordered my pickup back in 21, and was a Job 1 22 build. I have been under the impression that my pickup should be getting the Bluecruise update, but after calling around to some dealerships today to get it activated, I pulled out my window sticker and was wondering if it was actually built with it at all.

Well that’s fantastic… I ordered it specifically with the active package because it was the one feature I was really wanting it for.

I think it should show either the prep package or the actual Bluecruise package.
If it’s any consolation, my truck is a year old this week and I still don’t have Bluecruise!

Yep I see that now, kinda sucks. I just assumed it was built as ordered, and since I took delivery 12/28/21, it wasn’t something I noticed wasn’t on there since the feature wasn’t even available at the time.

is it possible to add it on since I have literally everything else required for it?

I’ve very briefly peeked down that rabbit hole, apparently there is a LOT more to it even if you have the assist package. I don’t recall all of the details, but it’s not trivial

Like the A-pillar camera that watches the driver. Absent on Assist, present on Active/Bluecruise.

Yea then there’s also the CMR. I believe theres some other major component too and that doesn’t even begin to include programming

You don't know me and you have no reason to believe what I have to say, but I have had 2 Powerboost F150's.
The first was a 2021 Platinum. I had it 2 weeks short of a year while I waited for my 2022 KingRanch to be built and delivered.

The Platinum was an impulse purchase and was equipped with the Copilot 360 assist, exactly like yours.
The KingRanch has the Copilot 360 & Bluecruise.

The whole time that I enjoyed the Platinum, especially when using Adaptive Cruise and Lane Centering, I assumed that as much as I liked the feature, I would be happier when I got the full boat. Bluecruise

Well it turns out that the best part of Bluecruise is the Adaptive Cruise and lane centering. The handsfree feature itself is more of a novelty than anything because I'm just not someone who drives without my hands on the wheel. And if your hands are on the wheel? Then the experience is, for the most part, the same.

I guess what I'm really trying to say is that there are other features and options that I would be more reluctant to lose than Bluecruise, now that I have had it long enough to know. (multicontour seats, Antiglare Headlights, for 2 examples)
I think my favorite thing about Bluecruise is the Instrument Cluster graphics when it engages.

Well ya, except for the loss of the tack. Not likely an issue for most people but I prefer to see the tack when driving. To each their own though.

BlueCruise isn't all it's cracked up to be. I have it. I would much prefer to have just the lane centering WITHOUT BlueCruise. You can still drive hands-free this way. Depending on where you live and where you drive there may be very few BlueCruise roads if any all all. In my usual territory I have one BlueCruise road and only about 5 miles of the 15 mile stretch. BlueCruise....whoopee!

I would love Bluecruise so much more if the eye tracking was limited to ONLY during Bluecruise.

That one simple change would be SO wonderful. Please will you Forscan gurus go figure that out. Lol
