Did a Test this weekend on using the generator

Not much of one, but one none the less. Making a grocery/Sams run. Put two electric coolers in the back and plugged them in. One as a freezer, one as a fridge. Worked fine. Kind of weird to leave the truck "running" in a store parking light. Got a "no key" warning every time we opened/closed the door.

Edit to add. The coolers draw so little power that they did not even register on the display.

When it's operating w/ low loads like that it's just kinda unremarkable. It just works.

Used mine for a power outage at the house for about 3 days. Filled the tank, left the engine running, left the key fob in the center console, turned all the lights off, locked the doors using the Securicode pad (No Key Fob alerts) Used about 1/3 tank of fuel. Pretty incredible! (Thankfully I could drive the wife's car to work!)

Take the key -- can't be put into drive w/ out key and doesn't need key to run.

This and probably not an issue in winter but in summer, it will get hot in the cab.

Open the windows a bit and I left the vent fans running. I wasn't using to it's capacity anyway.
