Well, I think the honeymoon is over! My '23 Lariat Powerboost 23300mi running perfectly fine had a dead battery 3wks ago so I decided to take in to one of the local ford dealerships here in Las Vegas for warranty claim. They did their diagnostics and told the main battery ✔ out but the auxiliary battery failed. So they replaced it and told me they did a recall to reprogram the PCM and sent me on my way. On my way home I noticed my clock was at the wrong time so when I got home I went to the clock screen but it froze then went black. A couple minutes later the Sync screen tried rebooting but kept displaying an error message that there was no connectivity(see attachments). When Sync finally booted up there was no way to get tht clock to autoset so the truck didn't know what timezone it was in. There was no gps, no android audio or apple play, Ford Pass doesn't connect so it shows the location of my truck in Dearborn MI where it was born. I took my truck black the next day and was given the run around and was told the earliest appointment (appointment? I was just there yesterday! I should have been priority) was a week away. I was pissed so I took it to another dealer and was taken in fight away. They did another diagnostics and was told it might be the APIM but needed directions from Ford Engineering so now my truck has been sitting there for 2 was. I've got 2 case #'s from Ford Technologies and have been going back and forth trying to get answers but all I'm told is their working on. So, now all I'm driving is a rental Ford Escape the dealership gave me so my assumption is I'm driving something so now truck is parked somewhere at the dealership until further notice.
Sorry for rattling on but probably I should have taken the advise from a lot of members and just went to Walmart and bought a H7 replacement and avoided the PCM reprogram. My truck was running perfectly fine before the dead battery. I own a '23 F-15 Lariat 502a Powerboost but now drive a '24 Ford Escape rental.

Sounds like the dealer doing the program is the source of your problem. It wasn’t your batteries.

Update, my F150 still at the dealership. Going on 4 weeks and still no resolution. Still waiting on Ford Engineering to figure it out. They're leaning towards replacement of Apim. Not very pleased and not happy driving an Escape.

Just another update! My truck is still at dealership and both dealership and Ford Engineering don't have a clue what's going on. Now they want to send a field engineer out to dealership to figure it out. Haven't had use of my truck for 6wks going on 7wks. Very frustrating and hopefully I get compensated for the loss of use. Also, I'm tired of driving a Ford Escape 😒

That sucks. If you have not already contacted Ford Customer Care I highly suggest you do. When I had my 2020 Ranger it had multiple water leaks that took forever sorting out. The truck sat at the dealer for close to 3 months waiting for back ordered parts due to all the shortages. When the rear glass finally came in the dealer's tint guy screwed it up and broke one of the defroster tabs and had to wait another 2 months to get another window in after their attempts to repair it failed. I got Customer care involved when it was sitting at the dealer the first time and they stepped up when I told them how displeased I was after making payments on a 40K truck I can't drive for months because of the shortages. They got the parts orders escalated to priority one to be filled quicker and really got things moving overall. So what should have been 1-2 weeks worth of inconvenience turned into nearly a total of 6 months of hassles for me. Ford authorized 3 months worth of monthly payment reimbursement on a visa card for the time the truck was sitting at the dealer waiting on parts and a free Ford Premium Care ESP on the truck for all the additional hassles having to take it back to get the glass replaced again due to the tint guy.

Let customer care know everything that's going on but be SUPER nice to them and see if they can assist you in some with some sort of reimbursement with this. They will want to contact the dealer to confirm everything and may help expedite the field eng.

I have an open case with Ford Customer Relations and the advocate has been in contact every Tuesday and has been very apologetic. He also has escalated my case to Priority One and has been in contact with both engineering and the dealership. So, I'm just trying to be patient but that's beginning to get old. I just want my truck back!
