I have a 2022 F-150 that is currently about 20-days old with 600miles. Currently experiencing dead battery drain problems, the truck will not power on or start.
I traded in my 2017 f-150 with about 70k miles to avoid the service department.

The battery has not been replaced.
Did you ever figure out what was wrong?
My 2021 F150 is in the shop for the 3rd time this year. This time it had me stranded. All 3 times they say the battery is ok. This time they are keeping it for a few days.

Update for my problem was I only had my 2022 f150 1month before I decided to trade it back in. There was a lack of leader ship at Corwin Ford to take the problem I'm very vocal about having and resolve it. Every day my truck wouldn't start it was a disruption to my whole day. This kept happening, and I called and complained. It seemed to be a game lasting multiple weeks, because ever complaint I talked to sales managers never a service department tech... After asking to talk with the owner "Tanner Corwin" to find a fair trade in solution, they said no and told me I would be trespassed if I choose to go back. Weird solution. I traded the truck for about 17k loss in 1month of ownership to another dealer.

I wish Ford motor company had a better way to resolve issues like the one I had. It shouldn't result in a customer losing the kind of money I did in 1 month. That just doesn't seem right. The Ford Company monitor here is a social media do nothing about the case super-star. I wasted alot of my time also, not just money.

When the truck worked right I did love my F150...

Might be the most expensive battery in history?
Something was draining the battery.. not the battery quality.
I found it was easiest to replace the battery rather then charge it. I started replacing the battery to continue driving. Every time the battery was replaced I manually reset the BMS. This is verified complete with a flashing light on the dash.
I even started taking the key fob out of the truck every time I parked.
Parked inside an insulated garage that I could clearly identify no lights on and all door closed tight.
Battery would died after 2-3days later no matter.

I apologize. I had not seen anything mentioning the battery was ever replaced. I literally understood it that a trucks ownership lasted 1 month with the dealership declaring that the battery was healthy.

Too bad the truck never had an opportunity to visit a service bay of 1 qualified technician that understood the process of elimination in discovery of a parasitic draw. It's not exactly a rare phenomenon. But these days getting access to such a tech seems to be.

Fact is- There was no resolution here from Corwin ford where I purchased the truck and was told not to go back or Ford motor company. I'm the customer who purchased a truck that was not functioning as expected. I can accept some lose in driving a new truck off the lot, I never expected a full refund buy-out.

I found another local dealership Denis Dillon took the best care of me and my situation. Openly asking the Corwin price and beating it.... Also I had priced the truck trade-in value else where. Results where Carmax and another competitive ford dealer Lithia both offered me only 46k.... that's even more heart breaking. I got 55k from denis dillion.

Ford motor company should do better here. Ford motor company ultimately failed me, corwin ford only sold the problem and lacked the leadership to find a fair solution. Choosing to tell me not to come back.

Exactly. I feel like I know more about what's going on with it than the tech. They act like this is the first time they've heard of it. They're like "oh your battery passed the test." ?‍♂

I also have new 2022 F150 with 4000 miles and the battery went dead after being garage kept for 7 days while on vacation. Never in owning a F150 has this ever happen. Why would a brand new 2022 F150 battery go dead?

47 modules in my 2022 F150
7 modules in my 2012 F150
(Forscan scan of the trucks)

It's AMAZING, and I love it, but the opportunity for an unintended parasitic drain of the 12V battery is exponentially higher.

Sounds like you should have gone the lemon law path, if that was available to you in Idaho. That would have had Ford Corporate involved, rather than a dealer, who is independent of Ford.

Hi Sam. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.
