Dash Rebooting Constantly

@stew64d any update on the dash? My xl powerboost has done it 3 times now, one about 5 months ago, and twice in the last two weeks. I’ll be checking the fuses tomorrow morning, just curious if you ever got it figured out?

So did anybody ever find out how to fix this? My 21 has been doing this a couple times a day randomly (seems more frequent on gravel rds or hot days) with nothing to do with incoming calls like some others. It’s been looked at twice and supposedly updated or nothing wrong found so I’ve just learned to live with it.

After my dash rebooting for a year and half, the ultimate solution was to replace it completely (the IPC - Instrument Panel Cluster). Sometimes I could go for a couple of months and it never rebooted, other times it would reboot dozens of times in one day.

It hasn't rebooted since replacement. I sometimes wonder if it was just a loose connection somewhere.

Did have a couple of issues with the replacement. 1) Dealer didn't transfer engine hours data, and 2) Have a "Exhaust Filter" screen when toggling through the My View screens that I can't hide or disable. Evidently need to take it back to the dealer to have them program the IPC to hide it. "Exhaust Filter" has to do with a diesel engine.

@stew64d any update on yours? I have a 101a truck with the same issue. You’re the first I’ve found without the full digital cluster that does it.

I started my truck a few days ago, and the instrument cluster remained totally black. Every 15 seconds or so, it sounds/looks like it is trying to restart. The gear selector display will show up and disappear. The climate control will briefly switch to Celsius and back to Fahrenheit. Then I will get a 3 or 4 chime for which I cannot see the notification.

I don't know if it's a battery issue, but after this happened, I had to jump-start my truck because it would not start.

I am also getting these warnings in my app.

An update here. Ford dealer had to replace my IPC. It was shorting out and draining my battery. A bit disappointed that this happened on a brand-new vehicle.

Looks like i have this same issue. Truck was built in August of 2022, but due to chip delays, i didnt get it until January.

Since i got it, ive noticed maybe 3-4 times my gauge/favorite settings got reset, but dont think i noticed it rebooting while driving. Well last week it did it once on the way home from work, then sunday it started doing it about every 7 minutes or so, constantly. It continued to do that monday, but then stopped on tuesday, and i havent seen it since.

I also got a bunch of alerts, at like 5am while the car was off in the garage.

I was able to catch it on video once, so i have that at least.

Having issues with the wife's expedition, (good ol' cdf drum tsb) so im waiting to get that fixed. I did have an appointment for this, but told the dealer to hold off until we get the expedition fixed.

I almost wished it had kept doing it so the dialer could document/diag it better. Hopefully ford wont make approving a replacement IPC too hard?

I've been seeing this in a couple cases. My son saw it doing a phone call on his iPhone. Similarly I've noticed Wave on Android has turn by turn in the gauge cluster similar to Apple Maps and now my gauge cluster constantly reboots when that phone is connected. Are there any updates on this? Is there a software update I should check that I got?

Has anyone found a solution besides replacing the pannel? Mine started doing this 200 miles away from home from when I was driving back with my family. My Ford Pass app doesn't have any alerts.
