Anyone else experiencing dampness in underside of the carpet, below the rear seat and gas pedal areas. Only notice it after rain (not always) and humid days.

I have a coworker with a 2022 explorer that was experiencing water dripping on her pedals. It ended up being a crack in the plastic basin that carries condensation away. Doesn't sound like your issue, but worth mentioning it since you said around the pedals.

On my 2016 F150 it was a vent behind the back seat. The vent was mid way up on the rear cabinet btwn it and the truck bed.

On my 2019 Expedition, it was a broken elbow for the condensate drain line under the driver floor mats.

There are also drain tubes that run down the pillars if you have the moon roof that can cause the issue if they get clogged.

Have the dealership check behind the rear seat. I had the same issue and that’s where they discovered the hole in the wall that water was entering the cab through. Hopefully they will find it be for your carpet develops mold as mine did. They kept my truck a month trying to get the moldy smell out.
good luck

Good morning! I'd like to look into the leak concerns you are having with your truck. To get started, can you please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer?

I too have noticed a "leak spot" recently coming from my rear sliding glass seal. My wife was "helping me" lol, and after a day/night of the truck sitting during a brutal pollen season, my truck needed to hosed off. I noticed that she of course had the nozzle on BLAST mode, doing the job of cleaning off the truck. I didnt really notice anything until I was about to go out a short time later and opened the rear door and noticed water droplets on the door panel and seat, all coming from the direction of the rear window (yes, it was fully closed) and for what little time she cleaned off the back of the truck, a considerable amount of water did penetrate the seal. That is something to keep an eye on, especially after a car wash and heavy rains. I am hoping that it was only an unlikely event being she was spraying at the very location, hard enough to push water past that rear window seal and not another faulty, leaking F150 which has been plagued owners for years.

Yup, I just found a wet spot under my rear seat near the back wall. For the first half of year, I thought the prior owner had a cat, becuase when it was wet/humid outm the truck smells like cat pee. Then over winter, when the truck when instantly fog up and wet days, I realized, I have a leak.

I only did a quick check with a moisture meter and found along the door sills and rear seat is wet. I have more investigating to do. 3 year old truck and leaks... Was shopping for a RAM and ended up with this. If I can resolve it, Ford hasnt been bad! Oh, I also hear about the sunroof gutter rivots leaking for others FYI. Now I need to figure out where to start in this cab!
