Well Time for and update. 2 weeks from built date last Tuesday at 4pm, as I was in a desperate rush to finish prepping for a 5 day youth church camp that I am in charge of. I get a call from my dealer. "Hey your truck came in." (Hallelujah they had said 7/22 for delivery) He of course was not to happy that I wasn't willing to come in Wednesday or Thursday but finally said he would make sure it was ready for me that night since they were there till 8pm. So Wednesday morning I baptized the beast with 11-13 year olds crawling through it loading and unloading stuff for camp. One of the boys dragged his stuff over the side loading the bed (instead of going through the tailgate) and gave it it's first scuff (that I already buffed out). I probably shouldn't have taken it out till I got paint protection film and ceramic coat. but it beats the minivan I was going to use, and I have the high praise of 23 boys fighting over who got to ride in it. Hahaha.

My truck was stuck in shipping purgatory for 94 days & change. It arrived at my dealer with 81 miles on it, looking inside & out like it had been on a muddy 4 wheeling expedition. Just about all of the little rubber fingers are gone off of the tires, & they look scuffed up. There is mud in the carpet on both sides in the front & on the left side in the back. When are 3 people with muddy feet required to be in a truck getting built & shipped? The dealer said that they are putting it through a full detail, & hope that they can have it ready for pickup in a day or 2.

Nope, no way I'd take that truck. Not worth it, knowing someone trashed it like that prior to being purchased. Just me though

Right there with you. If mine comes in like that I’m walking right out the door and getting in touch with the BBB. I know it won’t do much and the dealer won’t care but this is unacceptable!

I think I'm one of the only few longer than you. 1/7 build. It's been WAY longer than 95 days, I think that's when they put the "On Hold" status. At least the vehicles in status is dropping below 400 again. Never would have thought I'd not have a truck for my trip to Lake Champlain in August.

Don't really know what I am going to do yet. Dealer has been straight up about it. We will see if they offer ESP or any other concession, & what it looks like after it has been professionally detailed. I don't really want to wait another 7 months, but will walk away if I do not feel good about this deal.

They use them to transfer drivers around acumilating mileage to go get more vehicles to be moved to or from storage on their huge parking lots. Some times when things get real plugged up, they end up driving on grass that has ruts in it already and get everything muddy, including the drivers boots. Next day, they grab another truck and get it muddy....

Thanks for the feedback. That isn't real comforting though. My truck must have been used for a lots of trips. It should have taken a lot to get it up to the 81 miles on the odometer when dropped at the dealership.

I made the deal on the new truck today, & took delivery. The deal wasn't quite as good as I wanted, but the dealer did throw in an ESP (5 years or 150,000 miles) to get me over the hump.

If you are waffling on accepting delivery of your ordered vehicle, I would strongly suggest that you do not drive it, until you make up your mind. I absolutely loved my 2015 157" 4x4 with the 3.5 Ecoboost. Up until today, I thought that it was the best driving & riding vehicle that I have ever owned. The 2022 jumped way out ahead, as soon as I got in it, & drove it the 1st time. It feels more substantial, or maybe solid is a better word. The seat is much more comfortable, it is quieter in the cab, & the feature upgrades add a lot of convenience. I bought pretty much the same trim level & options from 1 to the other, but did get a lot of things that just were not available in 2015, like 360 cameras & going to the Powerboost Hybrid drive train.

This is ridiculous. They should have vehicles to get around in beyond parking built trucks.

I doubt it will be “professionally detailed” they’ll probally put 2 19 yr old guys paid $12 hr on it, doubt they have a shampoo/extractor machine and if any scuffs on paint they’ll probally burn thru the clear coat on it cause they don’t properly know how to use a rotary polisher! If i were you I’d look it over good and make them knock of a few grand if possible and then take it to a legit auto detailer
