Typically a dealership's detail is a simple vacuum, wash, and dry. I'd agree - take it to a professional for something more thorough!I doubt it will be “professionally detailed” they’ll probally put 2 19 yr old guys paid $12 hr on it, doubt they have a shampoo/extractor machine and if any scuffs on paint they’ll probally burn thru the clear coat on it cause they don’t properly know how to use a rotary polisher! If i were you I’d look it over good and make them knock of a few grand if possible and then take it to a legit auto detailer
How is it possible to fuck up that badly?!Ordered 11/17, in production 2/23, built 3/18 and been awaiting shipment ever since. Supposedly arriving between today and the 19th, but I’ll believe it when I see it. My dealer said it’s sitting on Ramp 51 in Flat Rock MI
I ordered 11/16, got the built email 1/26, and ever since then it’s been shipping delays. The VVR shows it’s still in Dearborn but now it’s on a plant hold.I’ve been trying not to complain, but with today being the beginning of the delivery date range and still no movement I can’t keep it in. 4 months (and likely longer) to keep a built truck sitting is insane to me
My truck has finally been shipped, but, from my original order, to date has been 1 year and 14 days. The truck is being shipped by rail and is slated to arrive around the 25th. Never would have imagined that it would take this long.I’ve been trying not to complain, but with today being the beginning of the delivery date range and still no movement I can’t keep it in. 4 months (and likely longer) to keep a built truck sitting is insane to me
It is ridiculous that you have had to wait this long for your truck! I waited 7 months & thought that was too long. More than a year is just stupid. My truck has finally been shipped, but, from my original order, to date has been 1 year and 14 days. Thank you but it’s actually on CSX. I did get the tracking information from Ford and have been able to watch the progress. It initially sat in the rail yard lot for almost a week before it got loaded. Then it sat on the rail car for 3 days before they started south. It’s progress and I’m expecting to end this nightmare in about a week or so. Hoping the process speeds up for others still waiting. It is ridiculous that you have had to wait this long for your truck! Being in Florida, your truck is probably traveling Norfolk Southern. If you are interested, you can track your truck's progress south on the train, if you have a rail car number.
I tracked my truck moving south on the train. Some days it moved much further than I would have thought. There were also times that it did not move for days. But to your point, progress is wonderful! Good Luck!Thank you but it’s actually on CSX. I did get the tracking information from Ford and have been able to watch the progress. When I did that it took me sending multiple emails to the same people, & then a week before I heard anything back. Keep up the good work! It will eventually pay off. Be persistent. YOu have to wear down these people who plan to ignore you. Good Luck!!!Sent 3 emails off on Monday never heard a word back , lol
I emailed last week and was contacted today. Hang in there.Sent 3 emails off on Monday never heard a word back , lol
I know there is a CSX automated call center to get information on the rail car, is there a online site to track where the car is?Thank you but it’s actually on CSX. Hear ya there. Even though you’ve waiting a long time, I think in the long run your better off. At least your truck didn’t sit partially built in some parking lot these last number of months. Who knows what condition it will be in.10/17 order and received built email on 5/18. Sadly still awaiting shipment. Not as long as other are still waiting from their build date but it’s been a loooong process with a chip hold added in and I’m ready to get my truck
