I finished up installing the factory LED door lights in the bottom pockets. While they look great, I can see why Ford decided to pull them. I was sad to see that you pretty much cant see them at all from inside the truck. Looks great with the doors open though. I now have this extra factory led that was in the door handle. I wonder if I can place that to light up the front of the lower pocket? I'll get some pics of the door lights in the morning.

You Da Man!!! If I can do the Media and Cupholder lights without moving the console that would be outstanding. I know that will be a big benefit to a lot of people here. Thanks!
Here you go. This guide was created in a short amount of time. I know there is plenty that could be formatted better but this should help everyone from having to remove the console bolts and sliding it back. @JHForman812 I borrowed a couple pics from you to include...

Let me know if this guide is terrible or if it helps visualize things better. As you tear into the vehicle, removing trim, etc. you will get an idea pretty quickly how it all should go. I'd call this guide a beta version. (See attached PDF).

Performed on 23 Lariat 502A PowerBoost.

EDIT 2/21/23: Updated guide to include images straight from the '23 factory workshop manual for better illustrations and changed preferred ratchet size from 3/8 to 1/4 ratchet.

This is great do you mind if I add it to the first post for an optional way to do this ? A lot of people are uncomfortable pulling the center trim that runs all the way across off. Me personally I only need to remove the 2 side wings to do this mod but I don’t want to be responsible for people breaking stuff

Sure! Go right ahead.

Having two options is great. Thanks!

Looking for glove box light…got this from Tasca

Part #ML3Z14A411C is currently on national backorder with the automotive manufacturer and has no estimated date of resupply. We do not currently have this item in stock at our warehouse and are unable to acquire it at this time.

Any known sources?
Thanks

You could do what I did and use the media bin light for the glove box since both lights are physically exactly the same and will fit in either location. I did both the upper and lower glove boxes and at the time I could have went with the white lights but I preferred the blue. If you go that route, one thing to make note of is that the white glove box light and the blue media bin light have opposite connectors. I forget which one is which, but one has a female connector and the other has a male connector so if you are having @JHForman812 making your harness, let him know and he will accommodate you like he did for me.

I *might* have one of those lights, I’ll have to take a look. Is it the same as the arm rest console light? If it is, then I have one

I jumped the gun and already had him send the harnesses.

I just looked at mine and they look the same although I am not sure what type of connector it has. I would bet it is the same since I don't think Ford would use different lights for basically the same use. If I were you I would pull the armrest cubby light and see if you can see if it has a female or male connector. My money is on it's the same as the glove box light.

pretty sure the large console light is going to be a male connector, just like the media bin. not to mention the wiring harness on the console light is going to be drastically shorter than the OEM glove box light.
